CHAPTER THIRTEEN
THEY say betrayal will never come from your enemies.
"I want your help, Felicity. I need your help."
That was the lasts of our conversation. Just like yesterday night, I slept late. I was overthinking. I was in pain. I was broken. But as I open my eyes today, they were burning with a desire. Did I already said that I'm always hungry for revenge?
I've never been betrayed before. And I will make sure that he—they will pay the price.
I keep on fidgeting and asking Mafi about time.
From the corridor, I saw Gavin coming this way. Oh shoot! There's nowhere to hide now. Better yet face him.
"Onyx!" Tawag niya sa akin. I smiled at him widely. Oh shocks! Am I doing it right? How come he can do this easily for almost two years? Or am I really that naive not to notice anything?
"Hi! Didn't saw you a while ago," pagsisinungaling ko. Mafi actually told me where he is the moment we entered the cafeteria.
"I was there. You're probably just too occupied to notice me," he answered and gave me his expensive smile. Oh great! Kasi isa talaga akong tanga.
"Ah gano'n ba? Sorry," I said while pouting. I gave him an apologetic look to make it more convincing.
"That's fine. I know you're just tired and sleepy." Yeah, tired and sleepy because of you and your other woman. I clenched my fist and tried to maintain my smiling face. Finally, Mafi came out of the room.
Lie. The Headmaster doesn't even care about us at the moment.
"Oh, okay. I'll see you tomorrow, then." He leaned and planted a kiss on my cheek. So that's how his charm works. Cheek kisses, smiles and being a gentleman. I fell for that, how stupid of me.
"Wow, I didn't know you have a talent in acting," Mafi commented when we're finally in front of the dormitory. I sighed at her remarks.
"If he's a player, better yet meet the coach," I mumbled. A smirk slowly formed on my lips.
She turned to us when I closed the door with a thud.
As I look at a perfect pair of jeans and shirt, I could hear their conversations below.
"They met," Mafi said.
"Then?" Felicity asked.
"Nothing. Just the usual kiss in the cheek." I heard Felicity sniggered.
