CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
MY eyes stared on the smiling image of a young boy inside my wallet. He looks innocent and happy. I never thought I would be seeing him again. But this time, he's not a young boy anymore. He's a grown up lad with a hint of delinquency.
"I lived on that village before. But when my mother died, me and my father found a house that is nearer to his workplace." I raised my eyes on the newcomer who sat beside me. So it was him. They say people come and go. But why did he came back to my life?
"Naaalala mo ba ako?" Tanong ko. He gave me coy smile and nodded.
"That night when you went out with the girls to visit the plaza, I went to your room. Gusto ko sanang sabihin na naalala ko ang pangalan ng babaeng una at huli kong nagustuhan. Her name was Nyx. But you weren't there and I thought I would lose you that moment," pagku-kwento niya. Napangiti ako habang nakatitig sa kaniya.
"So that was me." That wasn't a question but he nodded. I thought it was Gyzea. But it was actually me, what a surprise.
"I was dying to tell you about it. But you started avoiding me so I lost the chance," he said in a regretful tone. I reached for his hand and clasped it in my palm.
"So I was your first love, and you are mine," masaya kong sabi.
"Ehem ehem!" Naglaho ang ngiti ko at agad sinamaan ng tingin si Shin. "What? I just cleared my throat."
Kahit kailan talaga ang sarap niyang batuhin ng bote sa ulo. Hindi na kami nagdrama pa at kumain na lang nang kumain. Ngayon lang kami nakapag-foodtrip na anim eh. Ang mga mahihinang kumain ay sina Shin at Felicity. Normal lang naman kina Gio at Kingston. Kaming dalawa lang talaga ni Mafi ang food is life.
"Dalian n'yo! Hinahanap na raw tayo sa dorm," sabi ni Shin.
"Paano mo nasabi? Nabasa mo isip nila sa dorm?" Nagtatakang tanong ko.
"Hindi sila. 'Yong mga guwardiya," bulong niya. Agad kong hinampas ang braso niya. "Aray ko naman, Onyx! Ang brutal mo talaga."
"Who said you can peek on their thoughts?" Saway ko. But he just gave me a wry smile. Pasaway talaga.
Hindi na namin inubos pa ang mga binili namin at dinala na lang namin sa sasakyan. The chauffeur almost made the van fly. Oh hell, welcome back to AU.

"Ano ba? Tamaan mo naman!" Kantyaw ni Felicity sa akin. Ikaw kaya tamaan ko riyan? Itinutok ko nga sa kaniya ang baril.
"Shut up or I will feed you with a bullet," I warned her. Agad naman siyang umirap.
"Kung kaya mong matamaan," pang-aasar niya pa. At talagang iniinis mo ako ha.
I aimed the muzzle of the sniper to her left and peeked unto the lens. I pulled the trigger and they all gasped when the bullet slashed her left cheek. Tumama ang bala sa punong sinasandalan niya.
"What the hell!?" Gulat na bulalas ni Mafi. Napahawak silang lahat sa mga dibdib nila. I smirked at Felicity's pale face.
"You wench-" She's about to reach for me when I aimed the sniper again to her. She immediately stepped back. The small scratch on her cheek immediately healed. She, then, slumped on the floor next to Shin.
"Bakit ganyan kayong dalawa? Lagi na kang kayong nagpapatayan," the latter complained. I am in the middle of training and they are just so annoying. Ano kaya kung barilin ko silang lahat ano? Pfft!
I focused my attention on the cans in front of me. Tapos na kasi sila sa mga training nila at ako na lang ang naiwan. May dalawang lata pang natitirang nakatayo at hindi ako makakakain ng tanghalian hangga't hindi ko napapatumba ang lahat ng lata. Ang bigat kasi nitong bwisit na sniper na 'to tapos ang hirap pa i-focus. Ang sarap magdabog!
