CHAPTER TWO
IT'S been a week since the class started. And guess what, tambak na agad ang gawain namin. I never realised that being a graduating student is actually the most busy time of my life. Teachers be like if you don't do this or that or everything, you will not graduate.
Mafi and I spent our Weekends eating.
Luckily though, nothing bad happened.
Today's Monday. Another stressful day of my life, I guess. Being the president of our section gives me a lot more pressure than my other classmates.
"Good morning, students and teachers," a chilling voice greeted from the intercom located at the corner. That manly, deep and chilling voice. I know who owns that. No other than the Headmaster himself. But it faded when I realised his not just talking to our class but to everyone in this school. You see, there are intercom speakers on each classroom that are connected to the Student Affairs and Services office.
"I hope everyone's in a great condition. I am taking this opportunity to tell you, especially to seniors, a special announcement. On Wednesday, your most awaited Senior Ball has been scheduled. This year's colour theme is black. I hope to see everyone of you on that annual special event. A pleasant morning to everyone."
As soon as the voice died, everyone started gossiping. Finally! On the ball, they would announce who will be our representative for the league. I'm feeling thrilled and a little anxious about that. But just thinking about the ball gowns, drinks and foods makes me feel elated.
Everyone's gossiping about what would they dress, who would be their date and how excited they are for the event. My ears got tired of the redundant topic so I shut it down for a moment and took a nap on my chair.
Afternoon came. I asked Gavin if he can accompany us but he said he needs to do something important and he's busy.
I shook my head and smiled at him.
"I understand. Well, malamang Onyx.
Oh, she's always so bitter about our relationship.
"Sige na. Alis na kami. See you tomorrow," paalam ko kay Gavin. He gave me an apologetic smile before kissing me on my cheek.
"Take care, okay?" I nodded at him. I waved my hands while Mafi intertwined her arms to mine.
"Do you already have a date?" I asked her when we're inside a taxi. Umiling siya sa tanong ko. "What do you mean? Surely a lot of men asked you already."
