POV: Micheal
"Oh come on!" She yelled. "That board is big enough for two people! Leonardo Dicaprio is too sexy to die!" Titanic played on the large TV.
"Calm down, it's just a movie." Heeding my words she plopped back down on the couch.
"Just a movie my ass!" She grumbled then pulled at the fuzzy blanket between us.
"Leonardo Dicaprio isn't even that hot." She looked at me like I just cussed out her mom in church.
"How dare you?!" She exclaimed. So dramatic. She always has been. Lately, though, it's gotten worse. Bethany spoiling her certainly is not helping with her egotism.
"I don't see the appeal. Fabrizio is ten times hotter, anyway!" She replied with a high-pitched gasp. Oh great, I done did it.
"Micheal Ryder Kilbane!" Oh no she used the middle name! I'm in some shit now. "You-" Thank god the doorbell interrupted her.
"Pizza's here!" I jumped away from her arms. Smiling as she fell to the floor. The pillows and blankets on the couch fell on top of her. A harrumph escaped her lips.
"This is not over!"
"Yes, it is. Don't fight the power of pizza." My wallet lay on the island in the kitchen so I stopped there before heading towards the door. Through the thick glass window, I could make out the stiff figure.
"Hi!" I said as I opened the door. I expected a teenager oily with acne, and eyes bloodshot from smoking weed. Ya'know, like most pizza delivery boys. Instead, there was a guy in a suit, wearing sunglasses. He looked like he was a member of The Men In Black. "Uh, hello?" I asked as he said nothing.
A scream came from the other room.
"Sariha!" I screamed back. Suddenly, the man lunged at me. His large arms reach out to encircle me. I jumped back, tripping on my own feet then I fell on my ass.
"Micheal! Get off me! Umph-" Her voice became muffled. The man grabbed my ankle. I kicked him, as hard as I could. I bashed the heel of my foot into his nose. Once, twice, then I lost count. But, he let go.
I scrambled through the kitchen, pulling a large knife from the knife block. This should do. I ran past the island, then into the hallway. I need to get to Sariha!
Another man seemed to sprout from the doorway to the living room, surprising me. His eyes red in the low lighting. What?
My hip hit the doorknob as I backed up. A grunt came from behind me. The man I kicked in the face was at the other doorway. They ran after me, both moving in blurs, too fast to take them in.
With my hand behind me, I opened the door. Yet again I fell back, this time the knife clattered out of my hand. The two bashed into each other head-on. Their skulls cracking, a disgusting sound. But somehow they both bounced right back, despite the blood dripping from their noses.
The room I happened upon was a storage space/pantry. Nicco was preparing for a zombie apocalypse or something with how much canned food he had here. Maybe he just bought too much when I came to live with him. Anyway, I used those cans against their fucking heads.
I scrambled backward, then to the side, navigating through the shelves. Why have I never been here? I could've eaten all this food. What an asshole to hide this from me. Well, at least it has some use now.
The men continued to chase after me. But I was able to get them both on the opposite side of the middle shelf. With ease, I was able to push the shelf on top of them and run out of the room. Not before grabbing my knife.
