The interrogations of Estelle and Domingo Ignacio were insanely comical. Not comical in the bent over, knee-slapping, crying, and snorting in bouts of laughter kind of way. But comical in the justice-has-been-served-so-fucking-hard-that-it-makes-me-so-happy-I-need-to-cackle-like-a-madman kind of way. Even the very esteemed, very composed, Councilman Cahill seemed quite amused at the end. This was because these interrogations went like this:

"*Estelle spouting some major bullshit.*"

"That's a lie." Bethany would interrupt.

"*Tries to bullshit again.*"

"Another lie."

"*More bullshit.*"

"Lie."

"*Even more bullshit*"

"Lie."

"*Complete and utter bullshit*"

"Lie."

Then of course came the snap.

"You insolent brat! I swear-"

"Mrs. Ignacio!" Councilmember Cahill called out. "If one more lie comes from your mouth Mrs. Ignacio, I will convict you! Do you understand?"

Estelle didn't answer immediately, or verbally. She simply grit her teeth, flexed her brows annoyed, and nodded.

"Great, now answer Ms.Stone's question."

"Thank you council member Cahill. Estelle, let's go from the beginning. When was Nicco born?"

Estelle, of course, took her time to properly glare at Sariha, trying to intimidate her. While internally shaking, the fledgling maintained her confidence. She faced the villainess with her head high, and a smile on her face as she waited for an answer. Hopefully, a truthful answer this time.

"He was born January 6th, 2003." Everyone waited for Bethany to interject, to say it was a lie. But, it wasn't. The vampire nodded in confirmation.

"Great, and compared to your other pregnancies was this one any different?"

"No."

"But, when he was born, obviously something went wrong, right?"

Estelle reset her jaw and flexed her neck. Fidgeting in as many ways as possible to avoid Sariha's question.

"Something was wrong, right?" Sariha repeated. She swerved to the side, fishing for Estelle's eye contact.

"Yes." Sariha continued to fish for more.

"He was born human."

"Do you know why?"

"No."

"Has this ever happened before?" Estelle sighed.

"There was no record of this happening before."

"Did you know immediately?"

"He had a heartbeat. We knew. The blood test confirmed it."

"How did that make you feel?" Sariha knew exactly what questions to ask to incriminate and piss off Estelle. The one in question seethed.

"He was still my son."

"Did you not like that he was human?" Sariha waited for a minute. Estelle refused to answer. "Okay, we'll move on. What was it like to raise a human child?"

"He was more needy than the others. I had to hire an extra nanny to take care of him."

"Nicco didn't live with you very much did he?"
