Chapter 3

POV: Micheal

It felt like I was floating. I couldn't feel anything. No pain. No stress. Nothing. I couldn't see anything either. There was just darkness.

POV: Sariha

"Show me." The judge asked referring to the pictures I had taken over the years. Every time Michael would come to me with injuries I would take a picture. I have over 200 pictures of bruises and broken bones. I stood up from the long wooden desk and walked to the judges stand. I gave him all the pictures which also included X-Rays of all of his broken bones.

"Currently he is in a coma, induced by his father from years of torture-and lately rape, have done so much to him, his body can't fight anymore. The doctors say that he might not wake up for years." I say angered but also sad. He takes a moment to look at the pictures while a officer guided me back to my seat. I look over the the left at Ryan, Michael's dad. He had a smirk on his face as his lawyer talked to him.

"Ryan Kilbane, you are hereby sentenced to life in prison for many accounts of child abuse which includes rape and torture of your own child." he said and slammed down his hammer. Ryan looked angry.

"But what about my testimate, you can't do this." he yelled in rage. The judge stood up with his hands slamming on the stand.

"I've seen enough evidence. Take him away!" Ryan fought back against the police as they dragged him away. I was so happy. Michael could finally be happy now. I mean... after he wakes up of course. Tears rolled down my face as the judge came over to shake my hand. "Make sure you tell me when he wakes up. I'd like to meet this strong young man." he said with a chuckle. He went to turn.

"Um sir," I say and he turns around.

"Thank you so much." he patted my back then he goes but immediately I was bombarded by my mom and siblings. They cheered and laughed as we hugged. "How about we go visit Michael and tell him the good news." they cheered more and we went to the car and drove to the hospital.

We were walking to the room and I told my family to wait outside. I go into the room and let out a sigh. I looked around the room and saw that asshole sleeping in the chair next to the bed. It was around 6:45 when my mom decided it was time to leave. I told her I would catch a bus home cause I wanted to stay a little longer and talk to Bethany- oh and stay with Michael too. "Hey im off my shift, do you want a ride." she asked slightly blushing.
