3rd person
The newly turned vampire raced through the corridor. What was left of it anyway. He was on a mission. He needed to find the love of his life. His blood bond. His Nicco.
"Nicco!" He howled, allowing everything he had to be left out in the open. He passes a few other vampires, some kneeling or lying in pain, unfortunately caught in the crossfire. Whether they were on his side or not they did not make their positions known. Simply cowering to the side, allowing him to pass, yet following intently with their eyes. Their attention was quickly drawn to the two who chased after him.
The two females called out to him, but he continued on, ignoring their persistence. They stumbled behind as the man switched between his regular pace and the extreme speed his new vampire genes allotted to him. He couldn't control it, his body went back and forth between speeds on its own. If he could control it he would go as fast as inhumanly possible.
The roars and trembling ruckus of the house falling echoed louder as he grew closer. Every time the thunderous growl was released a shiver would reverberate through the vampire. His heightened senses seemed to know where the sound came from, and who it came from.
It seemed as if the fight followed a linear trail. From one hallway to the next, never breaching small rooms, only larger ones with means of escape. Ample evidence, like shattered windows and craters on the walls which were clearly created by someone being thrown into it. In the wake of this tumultuous trail was blood followed by bodies, and then more blood. One of the bodies looked familiar.
"Father?" One of the females murmured behind him. He gave a second glance at the body, debated on spitting on it, decided not to, and continued on his way. The others, after a moment of hesitation, stumbled after him again.
The sounds lured him to a large ballroom. It was the one the "family gathering" was in, more like a fake ass excuse for an ambush. Inside, chaos ensued. bodies littered the floor, drenched in blood. Many were missing limbs, ripped from their bodies. There were only two left alive. If you consider the undead alive.
Of the two, one of them was a monster. The other was Nicco.
The large beast bounced from wall to wall, chasing as a cat chased a mouse. Pouncing, pausing, pouncing again. The target: his own monster, his mother. But this isn't Tom & Jerry. The mouse is going to get caught, eventually. His large maw brandished long yellow fangs framed with foam. Michael winced at the growl that escaped from that same maw. His heightened hearing was still new, still sensitive. But, none of it mattered. Nicco was right in front of him. Despite being in the form of a nightmare-fueling beast, it was the greatest thing he'd ever laid his eyes upon. The skilled fight before him added astonishment to his relief.
Nicco was large and fast, but so was Estelle. Her wings were large yet thin, making her extremely agile. Nicco was large and his form was harder to control, making his moves look clumsy compared to Estelle's calculated ones. Despite this Nicco kept up with his mother. Chasing after her, only a few hairs of length between her body and his grasp. It seemed Estelle could sense his closeness, and she whipped around 180 degrees. Once she faced him she used her long claws as a means of creating distance between them. Estelle was still alive only thanks to her extra appendages. Without them, she would have been torn to shreds long ago. Just like her husband.
She succeeded, just for a moment before Nicco was back on her tail. They continued their cat-and-mouse chase, bouncing from wall to floor, to ceiling. Until Nicco got too close again, and she repeated her evading techniques. Sending them into a continuous cycle of chase, attack, evade. Chase, attack, evade.
"What the hell?" Michael squeaked. It may be because of his new vampiric attributes but he was paler than normal. "Is that really Nicco?"
"We always thought he could just manipulate his age." Sariah spoke, also pale as she gazed towards her two family members fighting vigorously.
