The door to your holding room opened with a loud creak. Some light from a lantern poured in and spread across your bed, including over your face. Your eyes opened, barely, as they adjusted to the light being cast over.

"Wake up, (Y/N). Come with us." A group of guards stood in the doorway, the leader holding up the lantern. They wore the state military uniform, but you didn't really recognize their faces.

You sat up and climbed out of your bed; your body still heavy from sleep. Walking over to the guards, the leader moved out if the way and shoved you towards the group. You stumbled into the arms of one guard which handcuffed your wrists.

"Wha-hey! What's this?!" You yelled, wide awake by now.

"We can't take any precautions." Another examined your hands to ensure there were no transmutation marks before tugging you by the arm away from your room. "Now stay silent." You listened to their commands. As angry as you were, you knew you had no hope of escaping. As skilled an alchemist as you were, you knew you were you no Fullmetal, especially not on your own.

The guards led you through winding stone tunnels, illuminated only by that of torches on the wall and the lantern that the group leader held. Wherever you were being taken, it was farther and farther from any escape as they led you down a set of stairs. Finally, you reached a room that housed a large table. Across the walls were various, messy scribbled notes. A quick glance showed a transmutation circle with some messy writing around it. As you were shoves over towards the table, Joseph walked out from a separate door towards the back.

"Well hello, darling~" Joseph smiled as he greeted you. "Are you ready to bring Envy straight to us?"

"What the hell are you planning?" You felt your blood boil as you saw that punchable face of his.

"Just setting a little bit of bait for our dear homunculus friend. Thank you, all. Now go handle the rest of the plan." The group of soldiers that surrounded you left. The door shut tight and the sound of clunking metal as they presumably locked you in. You focused on Joseph as he began to toil with a radio and microphone. "Testing, testing. Why hello there!" Joseph spoke into it. No sound came from the radio. He tinkered with the settings a bit. Your focus went to around the room. The main door was locked, the back door that Joseph came through was clothed in shadows, and as far as you could tell, there was no other exit. With how you were led here, you assumed that you were underground.

"Ah! Got it! Hello, hello~ Envy, I'm sure you can hear me~" Joseph spoke into the microphone and smiled. "Now then, I've got a little bit of a show for you. Isn't that, right, (Y/N)~?"

"Envy, he's planni-"

Joseph flicker off the radio, cutting off your sentence. Your voice only echoed back. Setting the microphone down, Joseph grabbed a set of shirt chains and attached them to your handcuffs. Then he grabbed a white cloth and tied it around your mouth with a tight knot to keep you from wiggling it off.

"That's better. Now you can't stop him. Though I'm sure he'll still be able to hear your screams~" He flicked the radio back on. "Ladies and gentlemen, homunculi, and dearest Envy! Shall we begin the show?!" Joseph chuckled. Suddenly a large boom roared through the room, seemingly coming from above. "Looks like the show has just begun! Fuhrer King Bradley was the best we had! I believe it's time that we bring back that time of rule. Our new Fuhrer is rather incompetent after all. But that's not the only part of the show that we will have tonight!" Joseph shoved the microphone in your face. "Say a few words, dear alchemist." Your muffled words came through as gibberish on the radio. "That's right! While the true way of the Fuhrer will return, we have a special interview and entertainment with state alchemist (Y/N)!"

Your eyes widened as Joseph's rant continued. "Fuhrer Roy Mustang has allowed the homunculi to live amongst us! I'm sure we have all see Envy with (Y/N) and Edward Elric and all of them! They are all blind to his true nature, manipulated and brainwashed. Yes it's true! That is why we must return to the way of Fuhrer King Bradley! Under him, the only crimes committed were those of reckless humans. While you may believe Envy has been reformed, I can assure you that is far from me the truth. He has murdered innocent lives right here in our capital! Instead of clearing his name, if he were innocent, he instead ran away! And our dear state alchemists helped to hide him away from us! That is why I, Joseph Schyler, wish to lead us back to the future that our original Fuhrer had envisioned! It is time for us to be led by those that have our best interests at heart once more!!!"

...

"Fuhrer Mustang has led us into a false peace! One where he believes we can befriend these homunculi that plotted against us and killed so many innocent people. They allowed serial killers to run amuck in our streets! They allowed the experimentation of humans and we are supposed to forgive them?! Fuhrer King Bradley worked to protect us from them! Although he failed in the end, Roy Mustang actively plotted against him! How do we know that our current Fuhrer wasn't the one that ended him? All for his power! After all, homunculi are not human, they cannot change and grow! Envy may have the state alchemists and our Fuhrer fooled, but those of us that knew Fuhrer King Bradley know better! We know the true monster that he is! And that is why I shall lead these soldiers to take back the power from this false Fuhrer!!!"

Envy sat in shock as he listened to the radio. Complete lies. As the shock diminished, a fiery rage boiled in his blood. The same fury he once felt towards all humanity had returned with a vile vengeance.

"Does that mean...they're attacking the capital...?" Winry could barely believe the words she was hearing, let alone the ones that she spoke.

"He has (Y/N)." Envy growled, his teeth grinding together as his nails sharpened and dug into the couch's arm. It took all his might not to release his true form then and there. "So that's where (Y/N) is. He took her. He fucking took her!!!"

"I thought Joseph worked for Mustang. Why's he turning on him?" Al asked.

"He set this all up! That's why! He manipulated (Y/N)! He manipulated me! He manipulated Mustang!" Envy yelled. "That bastard used her and then treats her like this?! I'll make sure he suffers before I kill him! So he can feel all the pain that he put me through!!!" Envy threw pillows across the room. Although rage fueled him, an uncontrollable anger that he was all too familiar with, he contained some of to not destroy the house that he now called home. "I want him DEAD!!!!!"

"Envy, wait! We can fight back, but-"

Suddenly a muffled scream echoed out of the radio. Your muffled scream. The group froze and stared at the radio.

"How was that, Envy? I know what you've done is far worse to her. To all those listening, this must be done to save those that Envy has control over! (Y/N)..." Joseph's voice went tender. "I'm sorry for what I must do, but I must free you from his power." Another agonizing muffled scream came through the speaker. Tears quickly filled Envy's eyes as his stomach swirled.

"(Y-Y/N). It's...my fault." Envy could barely speak as he felt the contents of his stomach churn. "I should have protected you."

Smack! Envy stumbled back, rubbing his head as Winry stood there, holding her wrench.

"This isn't the time to blame yourself! Envy, Ed knows that if you don't act now, we don't know what could happen to (Y/N)! You have to get back to Central now!!!"

"Exactly! If we have a chance to save her, this is it. We can worry about everything else later!" Ed added.

Envy nodded. "I can get us there quickly." A third muffled scream, a bout of muffled tears as well, came through the speaker before the line went dead. "We have to, to save (Y/N) and stop this bastard!"
