Dream Come True (Envy x Reader)

The Note

Envy sighed as he watched you sleep on top of him. You had been exhausted and were sleeping peacefully, snuggled close to your boyfriend. Envy smiled softly and gently stroked your hair. You were everything he ever wanted. He didn't want anyone but you.

"Sleep tight, my lovely princess. I'll get everything worked out. Don't you worry. I'm Envy, I can handle anything." Envy said, smiling softly. You looked so content and calm. It was like this was where you belonged.

Knock knock knock. Envy turned to the front door. He sighed and got up, slowly lowering you onto the couch and slipping a blanket over you. It had been a few days since you two had been disturbed by a knock at the door. He opened the door, but saw no one there. He looked all around then spotted a note taped to the door. He took it and quickly scanned the messy note.

"Better watch out. Nothing is good forever."

He growled and crumpled the note. He stuffed it into his pocket and closed the door.

"I have to get to the bottom of this." Envy muttered. He looked over at you. "I know I can do it. I have to do it, for her." He walked over to you and gently caressed your face. Envy smiled softly. "I'll fix this."

The next morning you woke up and looked around for Envy, but he was nowhere in sight. You sighed, getting used to his strange disappearances. You did feel bad though. Why did he never tell you where he was going? You got up and went to make breakfast. The door opened and in walked Envy. You gave him a quick glare then looked away. Envy walked over and wrapped his arms around you.

"Hey babe~ what was that glare for? I love you." Envy said charmingly. You ignored him. "Come on, what did I do?"

"You're always disappearing! Where the bloody hell do you go?!" You yelled at him and pushed him away.

"I just had some business to take care of. Nothing to worry about."

You crossed your arms and glared at him then went back to making breakfast. "Whatever. Just tell me before you go next time or at least leave a note when you go."

"Note. Right." He laughs which sounded a bit awkward.

You gave him a weird look then finished breakfast. "Let's just eat. I have a big day ahead." You both sat down and began eating. Then you gave Envy a quick kiss and headed off to work for the day. Envy sighed.

"Yeah. A note." He felt at the crumpled note in his pocket and sighed. "Why did this have to happen now...or at all?"
