You met up with Envy at the checkout line. You conversed happily with him in an attempt to pretend that nothing was wrong and nothing had happened. However, you couldn't stop thinking about what just happened with Joseph. You couldn't figure out why Joseph hadn't told the military that Envy was here. You looked at Envy as he talked. He was so happy and free of care. You couldn't possibly ruin that good mood of his with a problem that was your own. You were involved and telling Envy was a no-can-do option.

"(Y/N)."

You snapped back to reality and looked at Envy. He had been waving his hand in front of your face. "Yeah?"

"So you weren't listening." Envy said as he crossed his arms and gave you a look.

"I'm sorry." You gave him an apologetic look. "What did you say?"

Envy sighed then repeated, "Tomorrow is our 7 month anniversary."

"It is?" You processed what he had said then the realization hit you. "Oh my god! It is!" You shouted excitedly. Envy chuckled at your cute, bubbly excitement.

"You know," Envy said with a proudful smirk, "I thought the guy was supposed to forget these things in a relationship, not the girl." Envy then laughed at his own (very lame) joke.

You rolled your eyes then retorted, "Well you can pass for both so maybe we're both girls then it would make perfect sense that I'd forget for I'm far more masculine than you." You smirked at him. Envy glared at you then looked away, pouting like a child. You looked at him then poked his cheek. "Lighten up, it's a joke." Envy turned to look at you then quickly bit your finger quite hard. "OWW!!!!" You pulled your hand back and sucked on your finger to ease the pain as you glared at Envy harshly. Envy stuck his tongue out at you to which you replied by punching him in the arm. "That hurt, you asshole!!!"

"Come on, lighten up! It's just a joke!" Envy mocked in a higher pitched voice. You rolled your eyes at his pathetic brattiness. For a homunculus who was supposedly "superior to humans," he sure was far more immature and childish than most humans.

...

You two arrived back at the house and set the groceries down on the table. Once you both finished putting the groceries away, you and Envy high fived each other. Ed walked into the kitchen to get a snack, but immediately regretted it when he saw you two in there.

"Hi Ed!" You greeted cheerfully.

"Hey." He replied, not as enthusiastic as you.

"Hey Ed~" Envy had a sly smirk on his face. "Well, Pipsqueak," Envy proceeded to open the refrigerator and took out a carton of milk. You sighed and facepalmed. Of course, you thought, what did I expect? "It's your favorite thing, shrimp! Milk! Why don't you have some~?"

Ed glared at the mill then at Envy. Ed started yelling at him for calling him short and about how he will never drink milk. You shook your head and walked away, not wanting to deal with their stupidity. You stopped walking as you passed by the front door. You just kind of stared at it, almost expecting someone like the military or Joseph to knock. With the way your luck had been, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if that did happen. The hairs on the back of your neck stood up when you suddenly heard what sounded like knocking, but it turned out to be just Ed storming off after he was done yelling at Envy. You watched him disappear from your sight. You tried to relax after that, but you couldn't. You looked at the front door once more before heading to your room to get away. All you wanted was to be alone now.
