This was a disaster. How did you even end up in this situation? You felt absolutely awful. If Envy ever found out about this then he'd probably go on a murderous rampage. Your time with Joseph today started running through your mind. It had all started with Joseph at the restaurant he took you too.
...
"This place is perfect! Perfect food, perfect ambiance, and perfect service. You'll LOVE it!" Joseph exclaimed as you two stood outside of the restaurant. You looked at the building which, you had to admit, looked quite nice. Joseph took your hand in his and led you inside.
You look around the place and you knew Joseph was right. This place was amazing. There were very few people in here, all sitting scattered apart. A hostess greeted you and Joseph then led you both over to a small table. Joseph pulled your seat out for you and you took your seat. The hostess laid a couple menus down on the table then walked off. You put your menu up to block Joseph's face from your sight as you scanned the menu for what you might eat.
"Put your menu down, honey~." Joseph smiled could as you did as he said. "Perfect, now I can see that beautiful face of yours." You felt yourself blush a little. "Look at me." Joseph said in a sweeter tone than before. You shifted your gaze to him, looking straight into his eyes. He had a soft, sweet smile now which was nothing like his cocky smirk from before. You almost felt drawn to him like you wanted to be closer to him. This Joseph was different. All of his facial features were soft and kind, his eyes appeared to smile and showcased a genuinely kind version of the boy. He seemed to have a gentle warm aura about him that invited you in to his life and convinced you to be nice. Most of all were his eyes which shown a vibrantly red color. Before his eyes had seemed empty and foreboding as if to warn you that he was no good. Now, however, his eyes had changed. They were stunningly beautiful and you couldn't help but stare into them. The eyes that had previously pushed you to look away with a feeling of uneasiness now had you lost in their gentleness and striking beauty. You could barely believe this was the same man you had grown to hate.
"(Y/N), please don't think I'm a bad guy." Joseph pleaded as he laid his hand gently over yours. "I'm just trying to protect you." A sincere smile tugged at Joseph's lips. "Let us put all else aside and enjoy our day together." You nodded. "Thank you." Joseph took hold of your hand and brought it up to his lips, planting a soft and gentle kiss upon it. You blushed profusely at the gesture. Joseph let your hand go then took his menu and skimmed it. You put your menu up to hide behind as you tried to cease your blushing. A waitress came over to your table, ready to take your order. You quickly read through the menu, unable to decide.
"Are you two ready to order?" The waitress asked and smiled kindly. Joseph looked at you to which you nodded your head. He answered the waitress with a "Yes." You two placed your orders and the waitress left.
...
Joseph walked with you to the park, his arm wrapped around your waist. You had to admit that you definitely enjoyed the meal. You two were now walking around the town doing some window shopping. You both eyes various items in different stores. The time passed with surprisingly pleasant conversation and a peaceful walk through town. If all the problems with the military and Envy were put aside then Joseph was definitely someone you wanted to spend time with.
For the end of your date, Joseph promised to take you somewhere "perfect" and "truly special." As you you closer to this "special" place, Joseph asked you to close your eyes you gave him a look.
"Listen, just trust me. I swear nothing is going to happen." He had said. Maybe this was the dumbest thing you would ever do, but you decided to trust him so you shut your eyes. "Thank you. Now please hold your hand out." You did as instructed. Joseph took your hand gently and began guiding you, warning you of any obstacles such as hills, large rocks, and so on.
"We're here. Open your eyes, (Y/N)."
You opened your eyes to see a gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous view waiting before you. You were high up, above the town, seemingly above it all. You awed at the view as a cool breeze blew past you. The sun cast a beautiful golden glow upon the land below you as it slowly set. You couldn't tear your eyes away from the marvelous view present before you. Joseph slowly took your hand in his, intertwining your fingers together. As the sun continued to set, Joseph turned you towards him, you looked into his eyes. His eyes were a vibrant colors of red, magnificently bold and bright. The two red orbs sparkled as they reflected the sun's fading light
"(Y/N). You really do mean so much to me and I promise you." Joseph stared directly into your eyes, "I never mean to hurt you, only to protect you."
You were going to respond, but Joseph closed his eyes and kissed you before you could. You froze, shocked by what he did. You didn't know how to react to this. You had no idea how this could have happened. This was a disaster. You felt absolutely awful. If Envy ever found out about this then he'd probably go on murderous rampage. Finally, Joseph broke the kiss.
"I love you so much, (Y/N)." Joseph said as he gave you a small kiss on your forehead. "We should do this again. Au revoir." Joseph said, reverting back to his usual smug self. You glared at him as he left.
You started to make your way home in the dark, all alone. You got home and went straight to your room. As you took your shoes off, Envy entered your room. You looked at him briefly then returned your gaze to your shoes.
"You're home late." He commented.
"Sorry, I lost track of time." You replied.
"Yeah." Envy paused before saying, "Kissing someone can be quite time consuming."
You stopped in your tracks as what Envy said sunk in. You put your shoes away then turned to face Envy.
"What did you say?" You asked.
"You heard me." Envy said as he glared at you. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."
"Envy, let me exp-"
"No! Just shut up! You're a liar, (Y/N)!!) Envy yelled as he got closer to you. "Now I know why you didn't want me to come!! You didn't want mention yet in the way of you and your new BOYFRIEND!!!"
"Just listen Envy!! It's not like that!" You yelled back. "He blackmailed me! I didn't know he was going to kiss me either!!"
"Then you should have told me about the blackmail!"
"I can handle myself!"
"He's dangerous!"
"I know, Envy! That's why I couldn't tell you! He could have turned you in!!"
Envy glared at you then stormed out. You sighed and teared up as you took a seat on your bed, laying your head in your hands. You began crying softly. Everything was ruined.
