"Nakaposisyon naba ang lahat?", the woman questioned her colleagues.
"Yes, we are in our position right now.", one of her colleagues answered.
"Okay, then let's start."
Kalmadong naglalakad ang babae habang hawak ang dalawang champagne sa kamay. Her direction was heading to the man who was wearing a black and gold mask.
Nang makarating sa pwesto ng lalaki ay agad siyang umupo sa tabi nito at ibinigay rito ang isang champagne. Habang ang isa naman ay nanatili sa kaliwang kamay niya.
The man stare at her intently. There was no emotions in his ocean blue eyes. "What do you want?", he asked coldly.
"I want to chat with you.", she answer while biting her lips.
"Lip bite don't affect me, Lady. You're clearly flirting with me but I'm sorry I'm not interested in you.", the man said frankly and leave her at her seat.
A shock reaction crossed on her face. How can a man said those words frankly? The woman asked on her own mind.
"Tsk! Pakipot masyado. Maganda naman ako. How come he's not interested in me?", she whispered in the air while rolling her eyes.
Sinundan niya ng tingin ang lalaking kasalukuyang naglalakad papunta sa mesa ng mga kaibigan nito.
"Zues Arkin Gonzales. Nice name.", the woman smirked and headed to Zues who was currently talking to his friends.
"Hey man, happy birthday." Zues greeted one of his friends.
"Thanks, here drink." His friend Von offered.
Zues accept it and drink it straight.
"Hey, handsome. We're not yet done talking. It's very rude to abandoned such a beauty like me." The woman said still flirting.
Zues turn his head to her. "I told you already that I'm not interested in you. Leave now." Zues cold voice filled the woman's ears.
The woman smiled. "I'm beautiful. How come you're not interested in me?"
"Beauty don't last forever, Lady."
"And? What's the connection?"
Napailing nalang si Zues sa kakulitan ng babae. He stared at the woman's face. He can't see it clearly because of the red mask that was covering the woman's half face.
Suddenly one of his memories flashed on his mind.
I'm fucking inlove with you, with my target...
"Carina...", That name automatically scaped trough Zues lips.
Seeing this woman's face in front of him was like seeing his beloved girl wearing mask on the night that she confessed to him that she loves him.
"Who's Carina?" The woman asked when she saw an emotion crossed his ocean blue eyes.
The emotion disappeared on Zues eyes the moment she asked.
"Leave." Zues said in manacing tone.
"Masyado naman tong pakipot. Arte nito ha." The woman silently whispered to herself.
"Anong sinabi mo?" Zues asked annoyed.
The woman leaned close to Zues and give him a peck on the lips. "Hmm, taste sweet." She complimented after giving him a kiss.
"I'm Ayla. Remember my name.", The woman whispered to his ears then left.
Zues was left there in shocked together with his friends. What was that? Did she just kiss me?
And why does my heart beats erratically?
