After the group met Oscar and learned the truth about Ozpin, they decided to head to sleep for the night as they needed to stay ready for if Cinder ever made her move. Currently, Hawk is sitting on the outside porch sharpening Stormchaser. However, he's interrupted when he hears the door open behind him. Turning, he sees Oscar.

Oscar: "You mind if I sit?"

Hawk: "Go ahead." Oscar nervously sat next to Hawk as he continued to sharpen Stormchaser. "What did he tell you? About me, that is."

Oscar: "Ozpin said you're a murderer and a traitor to mankind."

Hawk: "And what do you think of me?" Not taking his eyes off his blade.

Oscar: "You don't seem that bad. The way you talk with the others makes you seem nice."

Hawk: "Nice doesn't always mean good. I figured Ozpin would've taught you that by now."

Oscar: "...He wants to speak with you." Hawk nods as Oscar's eyes change to the bright green from earlier.

Ozpin: "Back at Beacon, I still don't condone the actions you took in that "incident", but I was told what occurred before. You seem to exude a much more cold demeanor than that day. Would you like to talk about it? I'm still a teacher, after all."

Hawk: "...I...Raven's gone. Cinder, most likely under Salem's orders, killed her for her maiden powers. I wasn't there to help fight, I wasn't strong enough, and I paid for it. I don't have anyone left...I'm alone. So you could understand if I'm a little bit more distant than usual."

Ozpin: "Judging from what I saw through Oscar's eyes, you're quite the actor when around your team."

Hawk: "Yeah, well, when you're the strongest member of your group, they all look to you for everything. I can't let them see me weak...see the torture I go through."

Ozpin: "Is that why you consumed the fruit?" Hawk turned to him. "Yes, I do know you ate the fruit; besides you physically changing, I can feel the energy pulsing from you."

Hawk: "A little lightning doesn't count as physical changes."

Ozpin: "Oh? That's just the energy acclimating to its new host. In time you'll begin to change, and let me warn you, it isn't pleasant. But that isn't the reason I came to speak to you. I wanted to find out how you knew so much."

Hawk: "*sigh* When you told Raven all those years ago about your war with Salem and the Relics. She began to research because if the maidens, relics, and the infinite man existed, then what else could. She found that many different fairy tales were more of fantasized accounts of real things. Some more than others. She would eventually pass this knowledge on to me."

Ozpin: "What did she find?"

Hawk: "Your old Ozpin, do you remember the war with The Underworld?"

Ozpin: "So she found information on that. Surprising since I worked a very long time to hide that from the world. It is something best left forgotten."

Hawk: "And yet here I am, walking proof it happened."

Ozpin: "Indeed. Well, I suppose I should get Oscar to bed, and you should as well."

Hawk: "I suppose you know Leo's a traitor as well?"

Ozpin: "No. But I assumed it would've happened sooner or later. About what you said, you cannot blame yourself for what you had no control over. Do not let this grief crush you; It's not what she would've wanted. As you said, you have people depending on you...My condolences on your loss. She was a good student and an even better friend." Ozpin closes the door behind him as he leaves Hawk outside.
