Yang tried to pull in air to breathe but found that Hawk's blade had pierced her diaphragm as it punctured her heart. Hawk yanked the Yamato free of her as she fell to the ground. What followed was most could be considered a slow and painful death. Her body tried frantically to pull in oxygen, but with the diaphragm destroyed, Yang's lungs could only draw a fraction of the oxygen she needed. Not only that, she had to fight the overwhelming urge to cough up her blood. As Yang lay on the ground drowning in her blood, Hawk didn't even watch as he began to walk towards the gate he had entered from, only to dodge an attack from Blake.
Blake: "You killed her!! You killed your sister, and you're just walking away!!" Weiss runs over to check on Ruby.
Hawk: "Yes, now move, or you will be joining her."
As Hawk went to counter an attack from Blake, he quickly dodged another attack from Cinder, of all people.
Cinder: "Now, while I don't mind letting you kill my competition, that doesn't mean I'm alright with you taking what's mine. Besides, we have a score to settle."
Hawk: "No...we don't. What I have, is a mistake I need to correct."
Hawk began his two on one against Blake and Cinder. The battle was already trivial for him but was made easier because they had no coordination due to their hatred of one another. They kept trying to slash and shoot at him, but he dodged each attack with a simple sidestep. At times Cinder would disregard Blake's existence and use her Maiden powers to attack, but more often than not, she'd hit Blake.
Hawk: "*sigh* If it's all the same to you, it seems you need some time to get the whole 'working together' part down. So I'll see myself out." Turning to leave.
Winter: "Traitor!!!" Hawk barely managed to turn and block her strike as she rocketed in to try and slash him. Noticing she was now the new Winter Maiden.
Hawk: "Well, that was rather quick."
Winter: "Weiss, get your team out of here, and you, Cinder! Leave or help, your choice!"
Cinder: "Hmph, Neo, we're leaving." A pink and brown-haired woman appeared out of the crowd to follow behind Cinder.
Winter: "*tch* Coward. You've got some nerve showing your face after what you pulled."
Hawk: "My my, have my actions angered the ice-cold Winter Schnee. Allow me to save you the trouble of the Maiden powers and kill you right here and now." Shoving her backward.
Winter: "What happened to you? You used to be a highly respected warrior and a promising huntsman. Mother. She told me who you are. If you stop this madness, you can still have a family."
Hawk: "It seems you weren't here for the last family member that tried to appeal to my non-existent humanity. So let me make this as straightforward as possible, I am not a powerless human like you and the rest of your sad excuse of a race. I have power, REAL power, the kind that can change the world. The kind of power to do stuff like this."
Hawk sheathes Yamato and focuses his energy, pooling it into the blade, causing the sheath to spark with red lightning. Jumping up into the air, he unsheathes Yamato, slashing the entire bridge connected to the exit. As it begins to disintegrate, he lands at the exit gate.
Hawk: "Now you have a real thinker here, 'dear sister', chase after me or save the innocent." Gesturing to the people that were beginning to fall into the abyss as the entire created world was starting to crumble away. "Anyway, I'll be seeing you." Walking out of the portal.
Walking back into the desert, he sees his team are dealing with Grimm. He also spots Blake with Weiss and a still unconscious Ruby.
Hawk: "Where's my uncle?" He asks coldly.
Blake: "Why? So you can kill him as well?"
Hawk: "Watch yourself, cat. I'm the only reason everyone here is still alive, and it'll be all the easier to leave them to die."
Weiss: "He was arrested for the suspected murder of Clover Ebi, so he'd still be in Atlas. Now, where's my sister?" Hawk turned as the gate behind them crumbled info nothingness.
Hawk: "I believe that answers your question, but to ease your heart, she's still alive. Oh, and I don't know what you were told. But we aren't family, so don't expect any favors."
Walking back over to V, who is currently commanding Shadow to skewer a Beowolf and for Griffon to shoot down some flying Creeps.
Hawk: "V, how far is Shade Academy?"
V: "Around 5 minutes. It seems you received your prize."
Hawk: "Look, if you wish to return to the academy, I will not judge you a single bit. Your debt to me has been repaid in full."
V: "Too kind of words. It makes me feel even worse that I must give this back to you." Handing the still full vial of Qliphoth juice to Hawk.
Hawk: "But, this was for you. Why?"
V: "Most of my life, I have been looking for a reason to exist. And after a very long time, I have found that purpose, to provide guidance and wisdom to those who need it most. I believe with the re-introduction of this kind of power again; it may ruin the feeling of content that I have attained."
Vergil(mental): "It seems my nightmares have finally found their peace. A fate I too am content with, please respect his wishes, Hawk."
Hawk: "Then all I can say is, take care. And if you ever need anything, don't feel like a bother to call." Taking the vial and sharing a moment of mutual respect for one another. "Team HVRN! We're leaving!" Opening up another dark red portal.
Nora: "What about the people?"
Hawk: "V assured me they'd be safe. Shade Academy is close, so we mustn't be."
Pyrrha: "What about V?"
Hawk: "He will be staying behind; he's done everything he needed to. So I'd rather not force him into our war."
Nora: "Oh. By Mr. V!!" Waving goodbye, as V does a slight wave in return. Team HVRN walking through the portal.
Exiting the portal overlooking the refugees, they see the Shade Academy bullheads land and begin to bring people into them. Hawk hands the Staff to Ren as he opens up another portal, the team leaving the destruction their first act of war had caused.
