Hawk stared out into the clouds, they stretched out for what seemed like an eternity. The dark clouds block out the sun's light itself, drowning the world in an eerie grey. It appeared peaceful to him like this was what was true to him. Turning around, he looked upon four individuals kneeling before him. He recognized each of them, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, and the fourth was V. They all seemed different, they each radiated an aura unique to them, but there was a similarity to them all. They all carried demonic power; they were just like him. But he wasn't upset by this; he was instead overjoyed. They were like him, which meant they could protect one another; he would never lose his family as he did before.
Ren: "Hawk. Hawk. We're here." Hawk looking confused, notices the world around him darken. Hawk then opens his eyes to see Ren with his hand on his shoulder.
Hawk: "Mhmm, Ren? What is it?"
Ren: "We've arrived at Patch; come on, Nora's getting antsy."
Hawk gets up from the small bed he had on the ship. He made sure to grab his gear as well as the briefcase. They made their way off the boat to see Nora and Pyrrha already waiting. Pyrrha waited patiently, and Nora was skipping around with Rebellion on her back.
Pyrrha: "It seems like someone finally woke up."
Nora: "Come on, let's go! I wanna see Tai again."
Ren and Nora talked about how they met Tai Xiao Long after the fall of Beacon. He was the father of both Ruby and Yang. Hawk chose to hide his contempt towards Tai as he saw him as the man who decided not to stay with Raven when she offered him the choice. They make their way through the small island, Hawk paying no mind to the island's little tourist sections. Since he was now a full-blooded demon, he couldn't see the world as to how a human sees it. Every second of every day, he felt a gnawing hunger within him; this hunger craved for absolute strength and power above everything else. This idea that he had adopted had caused him almost to look down on humans. To him, they lived simple lives. They didn't seek power. That's why, when he looks back, his mother was such a role model. She saw the world as he did. She wanted to gain strength. Her only weakness was she could only have so much. Finally, arriving at a small cabin in the middle of the woods, Nora dashes forward up to the door, stopping before placing three light knocks. As the door opens, a short-haired blonde man stands at the doorway. He wears baggy cargo shorts, a sleeveless vest, and has a brace on his right shoulder.

Tai: "Hello-OH! Hey kids!"
Nora: "Hi Uncle Tai!"
Ren: "A pleasure to meet again, Mr. Xiao Long."
Tai: "Hehehe, look, Nora, I'm not your uncle, and you can call me Tai, Ren. It makes me still feel young. Who are these two? I haven't seen them before."
Nora: "Oh, this is Pyrrha, and this is Hawk."
Pyrrha: "Hello. It's a real pleasure to meet you, Mr. Tai. Nora has talked a lot about you." Hawk choosing to nod.
