Hawk slowly opens his eyes as the light from the room he is in temporarily blinds him. Holding his right hand to block the bright light, his eyes readjust to see that his arm is covered in black scales and seems to pulse with red energy. Groaning as he pulls himself from the bed he had been set up in, he sees a mirror in the sidewall. Looking at himself, he's surprised at how much of him has changed, his hair has unbraided itself, and the black hair dye he had has worn off completely, leaving him with his snow-white hair. His eyes also widen as he spots what appears to be dark grey horns protruding from out of his head. They seem to go the same direction as his hair, but Hawk is nonetheless worried about them. Next, looking to his arm, he notices the once grey and blue scales that had covered up to his elbow had now completely covered his right arm to his shoulder. His arm didn't feel any different, but he could tell the pain from before had gone away. Finally, Hawk notices the bandages wrapped around his chest, he doesn't feel any pain anymore, but it seems as though he was adequately healed after his battle with Cinder. Hawk then notices in the chair next to his bed he sees his old set of clothes, repaired and washed as well as the briefcase containing the vials and his mask. Getting dressed was slow for him, as he, unfortunately, had to cut off the right sleeve so his new arm could fit. Finishing getting dressed, he clips his mask to his belt as he looks around the room and notices the architecture is entirely different than anything in Mistral. He then feels a searing feeling on his back, not too painful, more like the water in a shower is just a bit too hot. Rechecking the mirror, he saw a symbol had been inscribed onto the back of his jacket; it glowed a bright blue.
He couldn't recognize the symbol, but he couldn't change it or remove it now, so he had to live with it. He walks around the silver and white hallways, making his way out of the room, briefcase in hand. It reminded him of Beacon for the most part. Looking out of an open window, he realizes where he was. He was in Atlas, more specifically Atlas Academy. The number one place on Remnant, his mother had told him never to go. Staying weary, he continues down the hallway; students pass by him and shoot him looks of concern. They had never seen a person with a glowing black scaled arm. He pays them no mind as he continues through the school; he was looking for his team, he needed to find someone he knew, he needed answers. As he entered a large open area with many students talking with one another, they slowly quieted down as they all began to look towards Hawk.
???: "Hey! Stop right there!"
Turning around, Hawk sees approaching him is a faunus wearing an Atlas uniform. The other students seem to murmur something, but Hawk's hearings can pick up that this is a member of Ace Ops, known as Marrow.
