Ironwood's office wasn't as wide as Ozpin's, but it was more lengthy. Although tall bookshelves lined the walls, they didn't hold many books as they had been replaced with electronic display projectors. As a result, the shelves look more like servers than actual bookshelves. At the end of the room, his desk faced inward behind it a large window looking out over Atlas and the city of Mantle. Inside the room was Ironwood standing at his desk; standing by his side is his "right hand" Winter Schnee, as well as a man with short brown hair and a sleeveless vest with a clover attached to the front.
Ironwood: "Ah! Hawk, a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance. This is Specialist Schnee, and this is the leader of Ace Ops, Clover Ebi."
Hawk: "A pleasure. Apologies for the incident earlier with Marrow."
Clover: "No harm done. I just told him to think of it as an honor to fight against "The Talon" as you're so-called."
Hawk: "That's a name I have long since thrown away. Anyway, general, what is it you need me for?"
Ironwood: "Right down to business, respectable. Qrow here told me a lot about you while you were in your...state. He mentioned a lot of things that could be key to taking the fight to the Grimm."
Qrow: "Don't worry, kiddo. I didn't tell him too much, just what needed to be said."
Ironwood: "So I have three things I'd wish to discuss. Firstly, I would like to make you an official huntsman, I already granted both Team RWBY and the rest of Team HVRN their titles, and I think it's about time you received yours." Tossing Hawk a huntsman badge, which Hawk catches. "Next on my list, I can see your body has gone through certain changes. None of which we have ever seen in Atlas or Remnants history, and based on your small bout with Marrow, these changes can be utilized in combat. Finally, we would like to run certain tests on your arm, see what it is capable of and if it can be synthesized to be given to our troops."
Hawk: "What I have now isn't a gift, it's a curse...but I'll make you a deal. If your specialist can draw blood from my arm, then you can run your test." Ironwood shrugging as he turns to Winter.
Winter: "Seems unorthodox, but if there's a chance, then I'll participate." Stepping up, she draws her saber. Slashing at his arm, they are all surprised as the blade strikes Hawk's arm and shatters into pieces.
Hawk: "Hmm, seems you have your answer."
Ironwood: "*sigh* Unfortunate. For our last topic, I wish to talk about how you came to know the location of the Sword of Destruction. If you would disclose the information, we can retrieve the relic and be one step closer to ending this war for good."
Hawk: "I apologize, but I can't."
Clover: "Why not?"
Hawk: "The location of the sword has been passed down to my mother, and it is now my responsibility. If it's anyone's mission to retrieve the sword, it'll be me and my team's mission."
Ironwood: "It's not up for discussion. You will tell us where the sword is."
Hawk: "Make me." The two scowled at each other, sparks of red electricity coming from Hawk's arm.
Ironwood: "Qrow, take your nephew and leave. He's no help to us." Qrow and Hawk leave the office and head back towards Team HVRN's dorm.
Qrow: "Great. Way to put yourself in Ironwood's good graces. For a second there, I thought you'd try and kill each other."
Hawk: "First, he wants to use me as a test subject, then he wants to take the birthright that I earned. Of course, I was going to say no."
Qrow: "So? What're you going to do now?"
Hawk: "Isn't it obvious? I'm going to go find the sword of destruction."
Qrow: "Do you know where it is?"
Hawk: "I know how to find it."
Qrow: "Great! That greatly eases my conscious. Also, another question you never answered was what that form was you took earlier, a good while back."
Hawk: "Ah. So to explain it, since I am what I am now. This form you see now is like me using only, let's say, around 20% of my power. I can then up it to around 45-to-50%, transforming me into a demonic form that combines human and demon physiology. Finally, I can assume my full form, which is the form you experienced."
Qrow: "How do you know that?"
Hawk: "I can feel the difference in power within myself. Like I'm holding back. I accessed the 50% form when fighting Cinder, and I could keep my sanity and stay relatively human. The form you witnessed I had no control over, and it's driven through emotion. I haven't had to use it yet, and perhaps I may be able to control it and use it without much stress." Arriving back at the front door of the dorm.
Qrow: "Alright, you know what you're doing, be careful. It's only us two now. I don't want to lose you as well." Then, putting a reassuring hand on Hawk's shoulder before heading down the hallway.
Hawk enters the dorm to see his team is still there as they stand around a small cake.
Pyrrha, Nora, Ren: "Suprise!!" Scaring Hawk into his half-demon form.
Hawk: "AAAAAHHH!!!"
Pyrrha, Nora, Ren: "AAAAAAAHHH!!"
Hawk: "Why would you scare me like that!?"
Nora: "Why would you care US like that!?"
Ren: "Is that a tail!?"
Pyrrha: "We just wanted to give you cake as a gift for waking up!" Hawk changing back into his human form.
Hawk: "Okay...I'm sorry. I wasn't expecting you to try and surprise me."
Nora: "Well...we have cake."
They all sit down at the table and begin to enjoy the cake they had gotten for Hawk.
Pyrrha: "So how did the talked with the general go?" Enjoying a slice of cake.
Hawk: "About as well as one could expect. But to sum it up, I'm officially a huntsman now, and our team is in charge of finding the Sword of Destruction."
Ren: "He let you be in charge of finding the relic?"
Hawk: "No. But it's not his business to find the relic. It's ours. So prepare because tomorrow we head out on our mission."
