Hello again everyone. As we are approaching the end of this story, these following few chapters will culminate the story I've been telling since I first wrote Child Of Omens: Ruination part 1. Also, a bit of a warning, from here on, I won't be pulling my punches. That's all I've got to say, and I thank each and every one of you for following through this story of mine.
A week or so has passed since Qrow drank the Qliphoth Serum and joined team HVRN in their effort. He has made an excellent addition to the team as he brings a sense of older wisdom that the group was lacking. He was not as wise as V was, but the team didn't mind. Qrow admired team HVRN's progress as he saw how much information they had to work with. Currently, they are set up in their hideout, taking a bit of a reprieve to recollect themselves. They needed a new plan, or they'd be stretched far too thin to accomplish their goal. Hawk is currently reading over a few of Vergil's journals he managed to keep intact.
Vergil(mental): "I cannot believe Raven still kept these after all this time. I would've thought she'd destroy them."
Hawk(mental): "At certain times, she almost did. But I would always whine and cry about how much I loved reading these journals."
Vergil(mental): "I didn't know my journals could be such good entertainment for children. Should I expect drawings in crayon on some of these pages?"
Hawk(mental): "No! Not at all! I highly respected you to the point it could be argued that I idolized you. I know it may seem...childish, but for a long time as a child, I recognized you as a sort of "grandfather" figure."
Vergil(mental): "Hmm...while the adoration is appreciated. I shouldn't be one to look up to."
Hawk(mental): "Yeah... that's what mom used to say."
Vergil(mental): "So...how is it with your father?"
Hawk(mental): "It is relatively peaceful now. He's able to keep the others in check while I strategize. Speaking of which...how were you able to utilize the Yamato against the original relic. It says here you can separate those sliced with the Yamato, but the relic and Yamato are of two different energies?"
Vergil(mental): "The relics are made with "divine" energy, while the Yamato is demonic. They have a sort of weakness to each other. I negated that by combining the two, which made the Yamato resistant to both of their effects. Think of it like how magnets work; each energy is North or South."
Hawk(mental): "So you could say the Yamato is like a...Demon...relic. THAT'S IT!!" Jumping up from his seat, scaring Nora half to death.
Nora: "Geez, Hawk! Can you not give me a heart attack?"
Hawk: "Everyone!? The table now!" The other quickly met at the large table containing the map of Remnant.
Qrow: "Okay, kid. Why all the commotion?"
Hawk: "So while I was in my comma. You all found out about Ozpin's past correct."
Pyrrha: "Yes, how he used to be a man named Ozma, and he was made practically immortal."
Qrow: "Just like Salem. What's the point?"
Hawk: "Salem died and was brought back by the twin gods. She then used the "black pool," as Ozpin calls it, to become Grimm. The twin gods also gave Ozpin sudo immortality as a punishment. Don't you see the only way we can remove their immortality is to have the gods do so?"
Qrow: "Kid, that's what Ozpin and team RWBY have been trying to do."
Hawk: "No, your thinking too small. You were trying to remove Salem's immortality and expecting Ozpin to have his removed. But don't you see, this whole war, everything we have been trying to fight is nothing more than a game to the twin gods. Salem and Ozpin are nothing more than pawns. Remove them, and the gods make two more."
