My Two Older Annoying Overprotective Brothers

Chapter 2

(Everett->to the side or up top)

I stared at my two brothers the tension in the air so thick you could cut it with a knife. Whatever buzz I had was now vanished into thin air not even noticeable any more.

"Well" Everett started as he fiddled with his fingers "Ella has been so down since... the accident and I thought she could use some cheering up." He said gaining some confidence "and you know as well as I do Daniel that she was shutting everyone out and I don't know about you but I cannot handle seeing her so sad so, yeah I threw a party but look at her she looks alive, and just to let you know I will keep having parties as long as it keeps her happy."

For the first time I realized that today was the first day I let go since mom and dad died and a small smile made its way onto my face as I went and hugged Everett.

"Well I guess I should have guessed that when I was gone you would throw a party," Daniel thought out loud "but what I did not expect was for Ella not to call me." He looked at me and asked "why?" his tall build shortening as he dropped his broad shoulders and ruffled his dark brown almost black hair to reveal his emerald eyes.

"Well I would have but he stole my baby and you know we don't have a home phone so how could I have told you." I said before continuing "but Everett is right I let lose tonight and I had fun I even got to meet the drea-" I stopped midsentence knowing bringing up my crush will put Daniel into a total protection mode of me I won't be able to leave his sight for weeks.

"What were you going to say Ella?" Daniel questioned in a demanding way.

"Nothing," I said shrinking behind Everett.

"Ella, you know that I only want what's best for you so I am going to ask one more time" he said calmly taking a breath before continuing "What. Where. You. Going. To. Say." He stated every word so he knew I heard him.

"Just that met some great people" I said truthfully because honestly Caden was great in more than one way ;).

"Then why did you not just say that the first time?" he questioned taking a step forward.

I was starting to stumble on my words as Everett said "Because I introduced her to some of the guys on the team and she doesn't want you thinking that she wants to date them and go into super overprotective mode." I sighed and smiled at Ev mentally thanking him for saving me.

"Fine whatever I am going to bed and so are you and then tomorrow you get to clean up the house. Good night" he said as he made his way u the stairs turning left to go to his room.

"Thanks Everett, for everything." I said and then I yawned

"Anytime Ella now let's get you to bed." He said as we headed upstairs him turning left and me turning right. he turned around suddenly and added "Ella take some Advil it will help prevent hangover"

When I got into my room I threw on sweats and a sweater taking 2 Advil, then climbed into bed before I was out like a light.

-Next Day-

I woke up to the sunlight streaming through my light purple curtains that contrasted my baby blue and gold walls. I sat up and streched my arms over my head. "ahwww" I yawned as i threw the cream and purple duvet off my body.

I set my feet on the dark stained hardwood heated floors as I made my way to the bathroom to take a warm shower. After my shower I went into my closet and chose a pale blue knee high dress with dark brown branches and pink flowers on it matching it with my silver flats and headed downstairs.

As I reached the bottum step the beautiful smeel of bacon and eggs wafted up my nose. "mmmhhm" I moaned as I entered the kitchen watching my brothers set the table.

"Morning Ella" Daniel said as he leaned down his 6'7 figure to kiss my forhead "how'd you sleep last night?"

"Great actually, I feel like that was the best sleep I ever had" I replied as I shearched for my phone before realizing that Everett still had it. "Everett," I said smiling like the Chesire cat as he glanced at me.

"Oh shit what do you want" he said shaking his head at my expression.

"I want my baby back" I whined as I held out my hand.

"Oh yeah, I forgot I hid that" he said as he reached on top of the cabnit and handed me my phone. "here you go Ella"

"Thanks" I squeeled as I sat down at the table and checked every social media to see what I missed.

"God, you would think you lost that thing for years not hours." Everett said shaking his head at me.

"It felt like years" I said dramatically bringing the back of my hand to my forhead to look like a damsel in distress.

"Yeah, yeah Cinderella" Everett said ruffling my hair.

"Everett I just finished my hair" I said putting on a pout.

"Okay you two, that's enough," Daniel said shaking his head as he set the food on the table. "Now eat"

"Aye aye captain" Everett and I said in sync causing us to go into a fit of laughter.
