(Ella's parents to the side or top)
By the time we fell asleep it was midnight and we were on a sugar high. I honestly have to say that was the best time I have ever had with my friends. A smile made it's way onto my face as I drifted off to sleep.
Ella's dream
"Ella hurry up mom and dad will be home soon" Everett said as he dragged me towards the kitchen so we could finish mom and dads welcome home cake."Coming do you have the purple icing done?" I asked as I reached the last step. I walked into the now clean kitchen that only had our cake and a piping bag littering it. "Okay" I said picking up the bag as I started piping the edging of the cake.
"Looks beautiful" Daniel said as he carelessly glided into the kitchen ruffling my hair. "But how does it taste" he finished and went to take some icing. Before I could set down the bag Everett's hand smacked Daniels away.
"Not happening Daniel this is the third cake we have made and it's perfect no messing it up." Ev said sternly.
"Three cakes?" Daniel questioned raising his eyebrow.
"Yes three" I huffed "the first one Ev put in salt instead of sugar and the second he put the oven at 400 degrees celcious instead of ferinhieght and left it in for and hour"
"What I never said I could cook" Ev said putting his hands up in a mock surrender. I finished writing welcome home as the door bell rang.
"Okay I will distract them you finish cleaning up" I said as I skipped to the door. I opened it and said "welc-" I stopped in the middle of my sentence as I looked at the two rookie cops standing at the door.
"Hello ma'am" one started "I am officer Lakestrict, and I am sorry to have to tell you that your parent private plane had a crash landing and there were no survivors."
I took a wobbly step back as the officers words sunk in. I choked back a sob as I heard Daniel and Everett come up behind me before Everett asked "Ella what's wrong"
My brothers rushed to my side and as they saw the officers Everett lead me away.
End of dream
I spang up from my sleep tears stained my face. I remember that day all to well it was the day Daniel was no longer playful and the day my family was ripped apart.
"Ella" I hear Trinity say groggily.
"Hey" I tried to steady my voice which resulted in it cracking.
"Oh, Ella" I heard before I was wrapped in Trinity's arms "did you dream about it again?" She asked in a gentle voice. All I could manage was to nod my head. "Come on let's head downstairs and we can talk" Trinity suggested.
We both entered Felicity's living room and sat on one of the large black leather couches. "I don't know how you do it" I hear Trinity say softly.
I look at my friend with a bewildered expression. "How I do what?"
"You know the thing with your parents I don't know what I would do without my parents" she said truthfully
"Honestly I don't know how either, I just really miss them." I sobbed "I don't know how my brothers do it they seem so calm and okay while I feel like I am going to die."
"Ella there boys, my brothers don't show emotion either it's just..." She searched for he right word "a guy thing" she finished. "You know what you need some cheering up right now" she said with a new found joy in her voice.
"What are you talking about" I ask glancing at the time it is barley 6 am.
"Me and you are going to back to my house and get you all pretty for my brothers party tonight" she said as she dragged me towards the door and leaving a note for the girls.
"But I don't know it's your brother Caden's party as in Caden the man of my dreams" I said knowing if I go I will do something stupid.
"Exactly this is the summer of Ella and Caden now let's make sure my Idiot brother can't keep his hands off you" she said as she dragged me towards her house.
