"Johnny!" I called out to my boyfriend. We've been together for a few days. We were in the lot watching the stars with Ponyboy. They both fell asleep within minutes. I watched the stars for a while before Johnny woke up. He began shaking Ponyboy. Ponyboy got up, they talked a minute and Ponyboy walked off. "Johnny." I began, before I could continue I felt Johnny's lips on mine. "Y/n, I like you. Always have."
That was then, this is now. I'm in the hospital with The Gang. Johnny's in critical condition. "Johnny please!" I cried out yet again. Sodapop pulled me into a hug and I sobbed into his chest. I couldn't lose Johnny. Not now, or ever. Johnny and Ponyboy ran into a burning church to save kids, that's what Dallas said. Johnny broke his back. He's gonna live, I repeated in my head. He's gonna live. I continued to cry before Soda took me and Pony out to Darry's truck.
