I just moved here. My parents insisted I move in with my grandparents for the remainder of highschool. I think that's their way of telling me I'm too violent. I was walking down a street with a bottle of Coke in my hand. I saw someone up ahead and walked around him. He still bumped into me, making me spill my Coke. "Hey, watch where you're going!" I shouted at him. "Calm down baby. It was an accident." He had a stupid smirk. "You from here?" He asked, sorta ticked off. "No, I just moved here." He chuckled. "Where from?" "New York." "Came from there myself, west side." "Yeah me too." "That explains why you yelled at me, no chick 'round here would talk to me like that. You dig ok, see ya around." He waved and walked off. I shrugged it off and headed back home.

[A week later]

I got sent home for the day after getting into a fight. They started it! Stupid Socs. They were pickin' on a kid, calling him "Greaser" and throwing stuff at him. I beat them up for the kid. Tsk. As I was walking home I saw a vacant lot and some boys screwing around. "Oh hey! Coke girl!" I heard a familiar voice. I learned that he was none other than Dallas Winston. "Hey." I responded. "Get over here and hangout with us," he said. I dropped my bag and jumped the fence. "Woah, where'd ya get a girl like this Dal?" One asked. He wore a Mickey Mouse shirt. "She's not mine, yet." Dallas punched the other ones arm playfully. "So, wanna go to the Dingo with me tonight?" He asked. "Don't see why not, I don't have school for a week." A kid was heading this way. Wait... It was the kid I saved! "Oh my glory-" the kid stopped dead in his tracks once he saw me. "-you're Y/n, the one who stuck up against those Socs for me!" He smiled. "You did... What for Pony?!" Dallas asked, more of shouted. He out his arm around the one he called Pony and laughed. "You needed a chick to beat up some Socs for you?! Wait 'til the gang here's about this!" The second one laughed. "Haha, very funny Two-bit." The kid laughed. "Anyway, wanna meet up later, Y/n was it?" "Sure and yes." I said and hopped back over the fence and grabbed my bag. "I'll see ya later, Two-Shit and Pony." Two-bit looked at me like he just saw a ghost. "Bye!" I ran off. Two-bit was yelling about how I 'disrespected' him and should show more respect for my 'elders.' He doesn't even know my age!

[At the Dingo]

I met up with Dallas, we ate, talked, exchanged numbers and headed out. "Hey, wanna meet the rest of my friends?" He asked. "Uh- sure I guess." I agreed. He practically dragged me all the way to his friend's house. "Guys this is Y/n, Y/n this is the gang. Be nice or I'll kill y'all!" Everyone sat up straight at the threat. One, who was really good looking, jumped up and hugged me. "Hiya, I'm Sodapop! But you can call me Soda, this is Steve, Darry, Ponyboy, Two-bit, and you probably already know, Dally!" He introduced me to them. I smiled and waved "Johnnycake isn't here but he's another member of our little gang." Ponyboy explained. "You're also the first one not to make fun of our names." I seriously thought of making a stupid joke. "I've thought of it," I laughed a little. "You gonna apologize for callin' me 'Two-Shit'?!" Two-bit piped in. "Let me think...." I pretended to think. "Sorry, Two-Shit, no can do." Everyone but Two-bit laughed. I had a smile on my face. Two-bit stormed into the kitchen and grabbed a beer and came back-to the living room and started pouting on the couch. Someone else walked in. He looked like he got beat, not to mention the scar on his cheek. "Who's this guys?" He asked. "Y/n! My new kid sister!" Sodapop exclaimed and hugged me again. "Oh well, hi. I'm Johnny." He spoke quietly. "Well, hello there Johnny." I held my hand out to shake his hand. He gladly shook it. "Ok, thats enough!" Dally shouted, grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside. "Oooohhh, Dally's jealous!" Just about everyone said in unison. Dally looked pissed.
