Fili's POV

Two days of dry bread and stale water. Every time I opened my eyes I could see her, Torien. Sometimes she would pace, other times she would sit there muttering in elvish. Something about this cell had changed her. When I spoke with her she seemed distant.

There was a loud clanging from the door as it swung open. An elvish guard stepped through and grabbed Torien ruffling.
"Move." He hissed. She glanced at me in distress. The door slammed back into place creating a barred wall between the two of us.

~Torien's Flashback~

I was dragged into the army tent. Darwin was dragged in alongside me.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Thranduil demanded. I yanked myself free of the guard's grip.
"You tell me!" I shouted back. "You sent the guards to kill Darwin."
"And clearly they didn't do their job." Thranduil shot back. "So perhaps I'll finish it for them." Thranduil unsheathed his sword and moved towards Darwin.
"Lle hloal bethra." I spat. (You wouldn't dare).
"Ucal indal." He spat back as he moved forward (Don't doubt me). He drove the blade forward and I unsheathed my blade in a second and it met his knocking his blade to the ground. He span around to glare at me. "You dare to disarm an Elven Lord?!" He spat enraged. One of the guards jumped forwards and snatched the blade from me.
"You are no Elven Lord." I spat. "You are a coward, your son is nothing but one as well." I could feel the burn from Thranduil's glare. It scared me slightly but it didn't matter.
"Pier thim." (Hold her) Thranduil instructed as three guards moved forward. Before anyone could do anything Thranduil had the blade back in his hand and it was moving straight towards Darwin. I jumped in the way.
"Torien." Darwin gasped in shock.
