Another gambling night, everyone celebrating as usual except the house pets. They had their minds all fixed on the plan. Khalifa climbs on the table. "Hello, brethren!"
She notices the sad faces of the house pets. "Why the sad face?" Noone replied to her. This made her wonder what was going on. She looked at Don, but she said nothing.
"Ok, maybe another game would cheer us up," she said.
"Now for this badge, we need seventy-two ladies, which means every kingpin would place their house pet one a bet, this should be fun..." All kingpins stood and walked slowly to the round table, Don stopped rudev and whispered "Whatever you're planning would not work...".
Rudev pulled her arms away and replied"That's not for you to decide..."They both shared a serious glance, rudev walked away and sat down.
The game commenced, all house pets were on a bet so there was tension everywhere. Every round, a kingpin was eliminated, this went on and on for a while. Rudev was about innitaite her plan. she turned to eve, eve replied with a nod. Rudev knew that was her cue, she then played the wrong cards and lost on purpose. No one could believe it, rudev was too good in this game to lose...
"Oh no . look at that. I lost " she said sarcastically. Everyone wondered but Don grew suspicious. She stood up and said "I release two of my housepets, eve and Delilah" The crowd rumbled even louder, why would rudev release eve of all her house pets. Don couldn't put the puzzle together, she was gobsmacked by rudev's decision. Rudev walked away ignoring the gossips and met eve and Delilah at a corner.
"I trust you both. Delilah, I heard you've been trafficked many times so you know your way about?" rudev asked
"Yes, I won't disappoint" Delilah replied with a bow.
"Please stop you're older than me, after this plan, you won't have to call me kingpin again," rudev said to her. Delilah smiled and bowed again. This made them all laugh.
A lady ran to them, she looked like she was in a hurry"They're taking them to a place called the big house..." she gasped for air.
"Cool down" eve said.
"What's that?" rudev asked.
"It's a meeting for the mafia" Delilah replied.
Khalifa's voice was heard screaming"Gather all your house pets, your ride is here"
Rudev turned to eve with a sad look, she didn't want any harm to come to eve"Am I sure this is the right decision?" she muttered. Eve hugged her tightly and replied"You've never made a wrong decision, rudev. I trust you more than myself" She sobbed.
The memory of her father's death fashed in rudev's head, she broke the hug slowly"I have... I've made a terrible one before, if I didn't brag and go for the bet I made with my friend then my dad wouldn't have died." She wanted to sob.
"You wouldn't have met me then" eve replied. Rudev ran for a hug again, she hasn't experienced this kind of friendship before, she didn't want to trade her for anything.
Khalifa was seen paying a warden stack of cash"Cover for us" she whispered, eve turned to rudev"It's time for me to go now"
They parted ways, rudev stood looking at her. She felt left alone again, if she could follow eve then she would have.
Don moved closed to rudev and whispered "You trust her too much, that girl is a thief, she can't be trusted"
Rudev felt upset by this comment, she faced Don and replied"She's no longer what she was before. I still like her and she's my friend, don't say things like that" She walked out on Don.

The next morning,
Eve woke up to see the light of the day, she was mesmerized by how beautiful the light looked. It has been a long time since she saw the sun. She stood on the chair and peeped outside the window
"Wow, I'm outside, I feel free..." she said to herself. A warden interrupted her wonderland and said coldly "Don't get too comfortable, you belong in jail. Enjoy the sun while it last"
She groaned and sat down, If only she could never go to jail again, she was finally free and it wasn't going to last long. Bummer.
She turned to Delilah who was still fast asleep. She continued enjoying the view as a tourist. Sooner they all came down and walked into The Big House. it was a fine mansion, it looked exotic and some men were seen on the corridor observing them.
"Those must be the mafia?" eve whispered to Delilah.
"Yes, those men are Drug barons..." Delilah whispered back.
"Really? What do they need us for?" eve asked again.
"If only I knew, "was Delilah's reply. They were tied up in a room, blindfolded and their mouths were sealed. Eve didn't expect this but Delilah knew all too well. Hefty men were put in charge of them and guarded the doors, there was no escape for the two of them
"How am I supposed to leave here now" eve asked herself.
Rudev woke up with no one to talk to or play with. She couldn't stop worrying about eve, she would also remember how her dad died. She felt unfortunate and felt a lump in her throat,
"I always make bad choices!" she yelled. She threw her pillow on the wall in frustration, she sat on the floor thinking about her life.
"Can you stop doing this to yourself" she had a voice behind her. She turned and saw Don walk in "I'm a mess" she muttered.
"You're still young to be saying that " Don replied
"Yeah and I'm spending the rest of my life in jail" she replied. Don gave her a warm hug to comfort her.
"I just wished everything that I've gone through till now is just a dream" she wanted to sob"...and I also wish I could cry all my pain out" she continued. Don remained silent and patted her.
