RUDEV MARY

Rudev 's return

Amira was unaware of the whole situation. She was sitting in the living room eating some fruits. While Priel, dan and joza were playing.

Suddenly, they heard horses neighing, which meant someone had just returned.

"That must be your dad," Amira said.

Joza stood up to get to the door. To his surprise, he saw Ephraim. He stood in awe and said nothing, as he has just seen a ghost. Rudev then followed and stepped in front of her dad. Joza couldn't take this shock anymore. He screamed, "Grandma, Uncle is back!"

"Which one of them?" Amira screamed from inside. Priel knew it was Ephraim and rudev, likewise Dan.

"Hello grandma, "Rudev said standing in front of the door. Amira couldn't believe her ears. She dropped all she was doing and went towards the door just to make sure rudev hadn't come to haunt her.

"Rudev?" she gawked. Sofia stepped in front of rudev. Amira couldn't understand what was happening,

Seeing Ephraim made her jaw drop. The pair shared an emotional hug, with amira saying: 'I feel like a whole weight has been lifted from my head... it's lovely ...it is magic, absolute magic.'

Ephraim was equally ecstatic, adding: 'I'm over the moon. I missed her so much ... I'm just looking forward to the rest of the time we can have "

"You don't look too happy to see us"rudev smiled, she interrupted their moment. Amira hugged Ephraim so tight but her brain hadn't come to a conclusion how it was possible.

"Mother! In case you're wondering, your other son is a criminal and is responsible for the attempted murder of my husband" Sofia said.

Amira gasped and trembled, "I don't understand?"

Rudev explained in detail "Uncle Alfred tried killing dad because he wanted the throne...so you see " she concluded.

Amira was so speechless.  Ephraim held her and said"It's okay to say sorry"

Amira recalled rudev's words when she said"You'll welcome my mum back into this house"

She felt embarrassed when she perceived she blamed rudev for doing something dishonourable, immoral, and improper. She had no safe haven from the judging gaze of others. She felt small and bad about herself and wished to vanish.
" I just wanted you to feel bad for all the things you did to my mum. You trusted the wrong person! "Rudev screamed.

All the maidservants and menservants also came in to see what was going on.

Amira walked up to her and hugged rudev.She began to sob bitterely .

Sofia, Ephraim  and the rest smiled in the background. Amira was done with the hug, she had to swallow pride and beg Sofia.

But as soon as she turned to Sofia, she couldn't look her in the eye. She was too scared and ashamed.

"Please don't ..." Sofia stopped her from apologising.

"You're my elder and I respect that." What better way to add salt to amira's wounds. Sofia knelt and touched her feet, amira patted her and lifted her.

"I'm so sorry. Sofia"Amira placed her hands together. Sofia smiled and hugged her"I'll never let this mistake repeat itself"

Eve peeped from outside the door, rudev saw her and said"Come in, eve" 

They all turned to the strange girl. Eve bowed again, she was standing in a royal home, what more could she do.

Rudev introduced her"This is eve... she's the best friend in the whole wide world"

"Good, this must be the one that helped save my life" Ephraim added.

"Yes," eve finally spoke.

Immediately wardens came into the mansion and interrupted them"We have to arrest the girl, she has to go back to jail.Rudev used her hand to block eve .

"No!"rudev screamed.

She walked up to them. She tried flipping her hair but realised she had none.

"What is going on here?!" amira screamed. "...You barged into the palace and create a scene"Amira continued.

The wardens bowed and apologised,

"This girl is a fugitive, your daughter is cleared of all charges but this one is not"they replied.

Eve became scared but at least she had a purpose. Rudev panicked and stood in front of eve and yelled"I said, she's not going anywhere!"

They all turned to rudev who wasn't ready to give eve up.

"It's okay, rudev. I'll leave"eve said softly. Rudev pretended she didn't hear that.

"How can you say that!"You're a good person, I understand that you're a thief but you're a good one"rudev muttered.

Eve tried to laugh "I'll be back soon, You've taught me a lot of things and I'm glad I met someone like you. You're the best friend I could ever ask for. Rudev, you made jail home for me and I loved every second I spent with you."

Rudev wasn't buying that pep talk. The atmosphere became moody, rudev was so sad." I'm not letting you go"rudev said. Eve cried "I love you rudev...and I'll be back I promise. Seven years...and you'll see me again"

Rudev shook her head and ran to her dad"Dad please stop them! they can't take her ! she's good now!"She pleaded. She also ran to Sofia"Mum please do something!" she ran to amira and please too.

She felt attacked, eve stopped her and said"I want to go back, then I'll learn my mistakes. I have to pay for my crimes, I know you love me but you have to understand"Rudev sniffed.

"Okay" she sniffed but it was obvious she wasn't still ready to let eve go.

Eve hugged her and then walked towards the wardens like she was walking to her doom. Ephraim hugged rudev and turned her round to prevent her from seeing eve being taken away. Eve turned and saw that, she smiled as she was cuffed.

Rudev immediately let go and ran towards eve hugging her from behind. This was sad for rudev, she couldn't take it, eve sobbed but could do nothing about it.

Eve was forcefully pulled from rudev's grip and placed in the chariot.

Rudev ran after the chariot but ended up falling, eve looked behind and saw poor rudev on the ground"Eve!"She screamed.

Eve sobbed even more but looked ahead to avoid more tears.

Ephraim picked rudev up and consoled her.

"She'll be back," he concluded
