Prison break {2}

The SI wondered why the key would be there. She turned in rudev's direction and walked towards them. Rudev and eve shivered and closed their eyes tightly. She pointed at eve and said, "I remember what you did..."

Eve stuttered," Really, me?"

The SI nodded and continued," That stunt you pulled the last time better not repeat itself, okay!"

Rudev immediately calmed down. At least they weren't busted, and that was good. Eve nodded in relief and replied, "I promise"

The SI still glared at them for some time but left sooner.

Rudev gasped and puffed as if she had been holding her breath for a while.

"That was close," eve muttered.

"Yeah but now we have work to do, so we gotta go "They both left in a hurry.

The cook was up next, she mixed a potion to the staff's meal and called them to have their meal. The wardens rushed over and grabbed it.

"I hope it's not poison"rudev whispered to eve.

"I'm sure she'll stick to the plan" eve replied. They both watched the wardens consume their food in no time.

It didn't take long before the effect of the potion worked, they passed out quickly.

Rudev smiled and said"Let's move"

Rudev, eve, Zaga, Khalifa and Don stealthily lurked in the dark observing the guards." Who knew a prison break could be this difficult"eve whispered.

"We have to get past them "rudev whispered.

"We got this "Don stood up and khalifa followed her."You need help crushing them"Zaga asked.

Don smiled, zaga got up and followed don. Rudev and eve became confused, Don walked up to the wardens and taped them from behind. Zaga surprised the warden with an uppercut that put him to sleep.

"Woah "Eve gasped.

"Nice"rudev added.

They dragged him into a corner, and as soon as the coast was clear,rudev and eve jumped out of hiding.

"And that's a wrap," Rudev said dusting herself.

They walked towards a point they could see the lighthouse. This was the finishing stage, they took a deep breath and climbed the stairs. It took them a while but they got up.

"So this is it?..."rudev said, she tried resting on a surface but she accidentally  flipped the switch of the lights causing it to go off."Oh-oh!"

She pulled the switch immediately back on. But they were already busted.

"Go now!"Don screamed, some wardens were seen running outside but Don, Khalifa and zaga hid. They only spotted rudev and eve.

"Get them!"The wardens screamed.

"Oh no!" rudev panicked.

She turned to Don and said "I'll miss you " She bent and hugged her. 

"You have to go now," Khalifa said.

The hug lasted for a while, Don  sobbed."I'm so glad I met a child like you"Don said wiping tears. Rudev sniffed "Yes. I love you too".

"Um I hate to break it to you but were trapped at the top of a lighthouse and the wardens are coming for us" eve interrupted them.

"Go now, I promise I'll visit you once I'm out too"Don broke the hug." 

"Some miracles happen..."rudev faced eve who looked desperate to leave. She pulled out her arrow and tied it to a rope and said"Now let me see if I still got it"she aimed at the fence and let the arrow go. The arrow landed right where she wanted it. She smiled and said with confidence" I still got it"
"Impressive but ok, let us move forward"Eve shouted. The wardens were already climbing the stairs. Rudev tied the rope to the lighthouse, rudev climbed the rope and stretched out her hands to eve"You're coming with me"

Eve smiled at took her arms, they both walked slowly on the rope, looking down was not an option, it was too far from the ground and they could get scared, 

Don, Khalifa and zaga already fled the scene. The wardens got up and shouted, "Cut down the rope!"This made rudev scared

"We're not gonna make it !"eve screamed.

"No, we will"rudev replied. The wardens began shooting, eve screamed and lost balance. Rudev held her and said"I got you"

She pulled her back up and they walked nevertheless to the fence.

"Ha! catch us if you can!"eve screamed.

"Launch the horses!"The SI screamed.

Rudev and eve juped down and fled.

Morning came. Eve and rudev found themselves in a bush.

They struggled to get up"We have to get horses or we'll never make it"rudev muttered.

Immediately they saw a group of men riding on horses"Looks like luck is on our side" eve said smiling sinisterly

"What are you planning?"rudev asked squinting her eyes knowing full well that eve meant to steal it.

"What do you think? that they'll give us if we just ask for it? "eve asked sarcastically.

Minutes later...

"Of course. you two can borrow one ..." One of the men said.

Rudev smiled and turned to eve"You were saying..."

Eve groaned ."I stand corrected..." she replied.

They thanked him and climbed the horse."Can you ride one of these..." before eve could finish her question, rudev tapped the horse and immediately the horse galloped recklessly.

Eve began screaming but rudev and was enjoying it.
