The Golden Fox And The Crimson Dragon Blade

Chapter 1: The Two Orphans

It was dark outside... Most of the windows amongst the houses surrounding the village hidden in the leaves or as it was better known, Konoha were closed. Down in the streets were no one to be seen, suddenly a lone 4-year-old kid named Dominic wearing nothing but dirty clothes matching his dirty shoulder length black hair, came into view.

He was walking with no purpose in life, when he was born 4 years ago his parents' lives had been lost in one of the greatest accidents ever to strike Konoha. It was the attack of the nine tailed demon fox that had suddenly appeared without warning, destroying most of the village and taking many lives of both citizens and shinobi alike. It was said that the fox had enough power inside of it to level a whole mountain with a mere swing of one of his many tails.

After that dreadful and dark day, the village had lost its greatest hero ever known, he was the fourth Hokage also known as Minato Namikaze who alone fought the mighty beast in mortal combat and killed it by sacrificing his own life. It was an important part of history that everybody knew of, even those who didn't have a family heard stories about the hero and his deeds of the village.

Dom turned a corner and entered an alleyway where he noticed what he had been looking for. Around this time of dusk, a specific food store called Ichiraku ramen threw out the ramen they didn't sell during the day, meaning a free meal for Dom even if it was a little dirty. Without any hesitation he threw himself at the trashcan and almost ripped off the top revealing absolutely nothing inside.
Disappointed he put the top back on again and slowly walked out of the alleyway while looking down on the ground. Suddenly he saw a shadowy figure in the moonlight's reflection and turned around to see a man wearing a thin metal plated shirt and black pants along with a pair of black ankle sandals.

However, what caught Dom's attention was the gray dog mask with blue markings that signaled that he was an anbu, they were the hidden elite of Konoha that executed orders directly from the Hokage. For a moment he thought about running away, but quickly remembered that his speed was no match for that of an anbu.

Dog landed right in front of him and told him that the Hokage wanted to meet him, this came as a bit of a shock to Dom, but he knew better than to question it and just went along. A few minutes later they both arrived at the Hokage tower in the back of the village near the famous Hokage mountain where all the faces of the previous Hokages had been imprinted, all the way from the legendary first Hokage to the fourth Hokage.
Instead of standing there looking at the mountain, he was taken inside and guided all the way to the top where a green door was between him and the Hokage's office. The anbu opened the door and inside was a rather small office with a couch to the left and pictures of all the Hokages hanging above it, in the far middle of the room as a table piled up with tons of paperwork along with and behind it sat a man in a chair looking out the giant window taking up the entire back part of the room.
This gave him a total view of the whole village which seemed so peaceful at night. The man in the chair turned around and looked at Dom with a gentle smile before looking at the anbu and giving a gesture with his left hand to which the anbu left the room somewhere.

(Dom) "Where did he go?"

(Hiruzen) "Hello my boy, my name is Hiruzen Sarutobi, or you can just call me the third Hokage. As for where my Anbu went, he is out looking for another boy around your age who was been rumored to roam the street."

(Dom) "What am I doing here?"

(Hiruzen) "Well let's wait with explaining that until the other kid arrives with the kind Anbu alright?"

(Dom) "Alright sir."

Hiruzen leant back in his chair and started smoking his pipe slowly, Dom felt uncomfortable just standing in the room like that as if he was on some sort of trial.
