Chapter 29: Disaster Hits, Kimimaru Arrives

A loud sound from a crashing tree echoed through the forest with great speed, one of the large and old oak trees were falling to the ground with dust and rocks rising from the ground. On the trunk stood two figures, one male and one female looking at each other with cold eyes, the female dashed forward and threw a punch. Naruto blocked it and jumped into the air before spinning around and placing his left foot into the lady's face which sent her down from the tree and into the ground. The lady's name was Tauya, and she was one of the sound four, Naruto jumped down from the trunk and landed opposite of her with one hand raised and the other resting frontally at his waist. Tauya looked up with wild eyes of anger as her curse mark started spreading from her neck, down her arm, up her face and stopped right around her kneecaps. With newfound speed and explosiveness, she launched forwards with her fist raised, Naruto prepared for the incoming attack by sliding his right leg in front of his left while opening his right hand while keeping his palm closed in his right hand resting on his waist. When she came close enough, he dashed forward and grabbed her arm while placing his other hand on her back, with full force he turned 360 degrees and slammed her into the ground with full force. The impact had to have broken at least a couple of ribs and perhaps caused some damage to her spine along the way. Naruto could see as she spat out blood and wiggled around on the ground in pain.

She roared as she tried getting back up, but it was useless now, her back had been broken and she couldn't move around at all. In a final desperate attempt to get up she spread her curse mark to its second stage, her skin turned dark brown, and her eyes turned black with yellow pupils. From her hair, two thick horns started growing and two lines from her eyes also formed. Despite this however she still couldn't get back up on her feet, Naruto looked at her with pity as he slowly started emanating a dark orange aura looking like smoke or dust coming off of a falling cliff. His eyes turned blood red with vertical fox-like slits going down the middle, Naruto raised his right hand and pumped chakra into it. He wanted to make sure that she died in one hit so she wouldn't suffer even more than she did now, he gave her one final look before raising his hand above his head. With all of his might he rushed the fist down towards her stomach and made contact, a large tremor could be felt all over the forest as Tauya shot up from the impact before slamming her lifeless head back into the ground.

For a single minute Naruto mourned his opponent before looking back to where his team had been before, he could see a dust cloud rising and knew it was a bad sign as he rushed towards the location at full speed.

Shikamaru was panting heavily, a solid white structure was impaling his shoulder and kept him pinned to a tree, he had several deep cuts around his body that bleed pretty badly. His eyes were starting to blur out as he looked up to see his dominating opponent, it was a tall white-haired guy with a pale face, gray eyes, and two red circles above his eyes. He was wearing a white kimono going down to his knees, he was also wearing a white pair of pants, the entire setup was kept in place by a purple belt like the sound four. His kimono was split around his neck and folded up in a turtle necked shape, precisely in the middle of the opening were a mark consisting of three lines stretching to each side with another mark stretching to the right from the first lines tip.

He was most definitely a difficult opponent to face alone, especially with Shikamaru clearly being the least powerful person on their team. The man silently walked over to Shikamaru with another white structure looking like a miniature spear in his hand. He held it above his head and quickly rushed it down towards Shikamaru's face, suddenly they both heard "Leaf Whirlwind!" from the left and a strong kick came flying into the man's shoulder. He slipped a few meters before stopping and looking unaffected towards the second attacker, Lee landed next to Shikamaru with his signature nice guy pose and held up his left palm in a fighting position. Shikamaru could see right through the pose, Lee was pretty messed up with what looked like multiple broken bones along with some heavy bleeding coming from his mouth. He was on his last legs just like Shikamaru and he knew it as well, Shikamaru stood up with the last of his strength and pulled out the white sharp structure from his shoulder. With some trouble he stepped up next to Lee and the two got ready to fight for their lives with all that they had left.
