Chapter 10: The First Exam

In front of team 10 was a mob of genin examines trying to enter a room blocked off by two chunin disguised as kids with a transformation, it was likely to weed out those who couldn't see the genjutsu placed on the door sign and therefore likely didn't have what it took to become chunin. Dom looked over and noticed Lee and team Gai standing near a wall while also looking on the crowd trying to enter the room on the wrong floor. Team 10 made their way over to Lee and hi team with said bowl cut noticing them approaching.

(Lee) "Ah if it isn't one of my youthful rivals!"

(Dom) "Sup Lee, why are you guys hanging around down here? I know that you can see through that genjutsu so why stay?"

(Lee) "I was waiting for you and Naruto to arrive so we could all enter together!"

(Tenten) "Damnit Lee could you stop it with the shouting, you're disturbing the entire corridor."

(Lee) "I'm sorry Tenten, I will try managing my voice a little better."

(Neji) "This is stupid, if that's the reason why you've held us down here then I will just head to the room, I don't want to be lumped in with weaklings like this."

(Dom with a tick mark on his forehead) "You sure sounds cocky little Hyuga, however you don't seem too good yourself."

(Neji) "I will put you in your place in due time however now is not it."

(Dom smirking) "I guess I can wait for that ass kicking a little longer then."

Neji was clearly getting annoyed as he turned around and almost took a step toward Dom but was cut off from doing so due to the arrival of team 7 with Naruto in the front going toward his friends. Sasuke didn't bat an eye on them but instead walked over to the mob and got through it before standing tall and talking to the chunin about the genjutsu. Dom and Naruto just mentally slapped themselves at his action while pondering if he really was such a genius or if it was just something made up. Lee on the other hand seemed energetic when standing before the Uchiha, Dom already knew where this was going and quickly nudged his teammates and Naruto who all knew of this too.

But before any of them could act it seemed like Sasuke was about to get into a fight with one of the chunin who flipped over and prepared to kick the Uchiha in the face. Said Uchiha also moved in to counter the attack but both of them found that their attempt at fighting had been stopped by none other than Lee who had moved in between them and grabbed both attacks. The engagement quickly broke off and Sasuke seemed annoyed at Lee for stopping him but didn't pursue it, Dom was laughing inwardly at the Uchiha's expression but didn't show any sort of emotion on the outside. Instead of staying there now that the genjutsu had been revealed him and his team just turned on their heels and walked toward the stairs that lead them to the third floor. Arriving at the end of the long hall Ino opened the large door and was the first to be met with the wave of killer intend coming off of the other contestants trying to scare any newcomers off. It didn't affect her in the slightest however, she had felt Zabuza's killer intend and to say this was nowhere near it would be a massive understatement. Next to her came Shikamaru and then Dom who all didn't wince at the killer intend either, instead they looked around the room and spotted team 8 already there and decided to walk over to them.

While they talked to their friends, team 7 came through the door closely followed by team Gai who all got the same treatment as team 10 did though only Sakura was slightly affected by it. Neji, Lee and Naruto scanned the room for possible threats, and all landed on Gaara who was observing Naruto and Dom closely. Neij's eyes however quickly fell on Hinata and was surprised by what he saw, she didn't stand in a weak posture or even seemed to be the same stuttering girl he knew. Instead, she stood with a straight back, fully opened eyes and was surrounded by an aura that yelled out confidence which completely contradicted his view of her as a weak little girl. Though when their eyes met she did wince a little which didn't go unnoticed by Neji, however before he could start glaring at her he felt something else clearly starring a hole in his back. He turned around to see Naruto with fierceness in his eyes glaring Neji down with a look that said "I dare you to try it" though the Hyuga didn't take it very seriously, however he didn't glare obviously at Hinata unlike before. Dom and Ino were inwardly both holding a hand above their big grinning mouths but refrained from commenting or doing anything else like that. Suddenly a Konoha ninja came walking over to them, he was at least a couple of years older than them and had a purple shad of black vest on with a white long sleeved shirt underneath. His pants matched his vest, and he wore black ninja sandals with his Konoha headband tied up around his forehead to keep his white hair from falling into his eyes.
