Chapter 20: Gaara's Untamed Madness

Naruto held his gaze firmly on Gaara as the sand container got out of the building and dropped down to the street with his eyes lit up in a mixture of anger, satisfaction, and madness all at the same time. The blond knew that this was a really bad sign as far as control went and it meant that he would most likely need to get Gaara out of town before engaging in any big moves. He felt Dom's massive outburst from before and knew that even he would likely be drained after that and therefore he couldn't count on him to assist in any way possible.

While still hanging onto the broken building with one hand, he quickly reached for his shirt before ripping it off and thus removing some of his weights and leaving him in his black Anbu pants. He jumped off of the building while reaching into his pants and pulling up some small metal bars that had been strapped to him on the inside before also thrown them to the side. He landed on the ground and bent down in front of him and pulled up his pants to reveal a set of the same weights as Lee always wore beneath his leg warmers, he took them off and threw them to the side like ragdolls.

Lastly he reached into his shinobi pouch and pulled up a pair of black fingerless gloves that wasn't weighted this time unlike in during his fight with Neji Hyuga who he could actually sense not to far away kicking major ass at the moment. After having finished getting ready to rumble he looked at the sand possessed Gaara who seemed to be patiently waiting for him to finish his preparations. Naruto knew that this guy was a container just like him and so could take on the power and form of the Biju within if his body was strong enough and his mind stable enough.

Quickly the blond decided that he would fight this fight as serious as he possibly could in order to stop the sand villages invasion earlier than most of them would want.

Gaara's eyes were locked on the blond as he suddenly made a foxy grin and light orange chakra began spreading around his body like flames dancing in a forest fire. This caused Gaara's grin to widen as the prospect of fighting another person like him in a full-on battle to the death felt thrilling to him though the Shukaku was slightly nervous in potentially facing the full wrath of his older brother. As the chakra flames spread around Naruto's body and covered him in an aura of orange, he cracked his neck before showing a fox toothy grin with his canine teeth slightly elongated.

Gaara remembered how Naruto moved in the exam before the whole invasion started and would rely on that for now until he could find something better to go by since it was clear to all that Uzumaki didn't go all out against the Hyuga. That would have been his plan if he hadn't made the crucial mistake of the blonds stats not having changed with his weights removed and the fox chakra flames covering his body. That mistake was paid by Naruto vanishing from sight so fast that Gaara even in this form could not even come close to follow him. Naruto had moved at elite johnin speed as he appeared in front of Gaara who didn't even have his guard up and delivered a punch so powerful that it launched Gaara down through the street and the shockwave causing the windows closest the blonds location to crack under the pressure.

Gaara would never have seen the speed increase coming, the power he could understand with the Kyuubi's chakra and everything but for him to increase his speed that much was unheard of and would cause trouble for him. That was when it finally hit the sand maniac, when he shed those clothes it wasn't just to feel better or get rid of useless clothes, no those things he had gotten rid of had been weighted so of course getting rid of them was going to increase his speed, especially with those he removed from his legs. Broken from his train of thoughts Gaara finally crash-landed inside of a building 20 meters further down the street and caused it to collapse entirely.

His crazy eyes only brightened up more as he got down on all four and took off at high speed that would easily surpass an Elite chunin, a dust trail picked up after him as he just bulldozed his way toward Naruto who just stood there patiently waiting for him.
