Chapter 31: The Final Clash And The End Of An Era

Naruto's aura was rising into the air and the entire lake was shaking from the pressure he was emanating, he stood up straight and thrust his arm forward in a punch that sent a shockwave of force towards Sasuke who was blown away. Even with his curse mark and two tomue Sharingan activated at the same time it was barely keeping up with Naruto. Naruto took a step forwards and vanished in a blur leaving only a trail of splashing water behind wherever he ran. Sasuke couldn't keep up as he was struck in the face and flew back, Naruto quickly caught up and reverse axe kicked Sasuke in the back sending him backflipping into the air with high speed.

Sasuke managed to regain his balance in the air but found himself on the receiving end of a massive, clenched pair of hands to the face that sent him crashing into the lake causing a large explosion of water along with large waves to crash into the shores. Naruto landed on the water and started roaring with a feral roar causing ripples to go through the water and crash into the shores nearby.

After it had settled down, Sasuke came jumping up from the water and slided across the water with a trail of splashing water going after him, his curse mark was blazing red as it spread further through his body. He stopped pretty close to Naruto and closed his eyes for a brief second once he reopened them his Sharingan had gained a third tomue and a smile was spreading across his face. He got into his position and yelled for Naruto to come at him, Naruto didn't waste any time as he dashed at Sasuke with full speed and caused the water's edge to erupt in small explosions of force with every step.

He arrived at Sasuke and threw his left hook at full force towards Sasuke's face, it was like Naruto was moving in slight slow motion and with his new level of eyes he could better predict and time his movements to Naruto's. Sasuke parried the punch and ducked under the next two while delivering his own two fast punches, next came a kick to his calf which he blocked with the front of his leg and then followed up with a low sweep and a back kick that sent Naruto flying.

Naruto could feel his body starting to boil and knew that his time in this battle was running out fast, he looked up and flared his chakra to its maximum as he blitzed over to Sasuke and exchanged a punch to the face with him. Using his full strength, he was a match for Sasuke using the fully evolved version of the Sharingan along with some degree of the curse mark. Naruto dodged two blows from Sasuke and countered with one hard hit to his shoulder which caused visible pain shown on Sasuke's face.

He ignored it however and clenched his hands together, smashing them into Naruto's back head followed by a few hand seals and a shout "Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!". All around Sasuke, flames erupted and caught Naruto's bare body, with a little extra force Sasuke completed the Jutsu and sent the flames running across the lake with Naruto along with it.

Naruto was slammed into the cliff on the edge of the valley and didn't get up immediately, Sasuke smirked and confidently walked over to the cliff satisfied with the result of his power boost.

Naruto was looking down into the ground making his face nonvisible from Sasuke's direction and he looked to be unconscious. Sasuke's smirk slowly vanished as he noticed a thick red cloak of chakra starting to come out from Naruto's back and surrounded his entire body like a protective shell. Naruto rushed his face up looking at Sasuke with an animalistic expression and blazing red eyes filled with instinct and anger.

Sasuke took a step back on pure instinct as Naruto slowly emerged from the cliff and fell down to all four limbs like a fox, a cold sweet ran down Sasuke's face as he started to become slightly worried. If Naruto could utilize the full strength of the fox then he would have absolutely no chance of being victorious in this battle. A single tail consisting of the red chakra cloak formed around his waist and swirled in the air as Naruto started growling.
