Chapter 14 Cherry Blossoms

'Just what did he think he was doing?! Getting turned on like that?!' You thought as you headed down stairs to speak to him about a certain something.

"A-Ah, L-Lotus! D-Did you sleep well?" He stuttered. Really trying his best to forget everything of what happened earlier.

"Don't play dump with me you stupid monkey! What were you thinking!?"

"I just...Look we can talk calm about this."

"How can we talk in a 'calm' manner about something like that?! You literally were about to take my innocence you-you--Ugh!"

You couldn't dare to curse or look at him anymore. You too frustrated to think about anything right now. All you needed for now was some alone time.

You turned your back at him and walked towards the exit without looking at him once.

"Lotus! Where-"

"I need some alone time."

While exiting the building, you quickly grabbed your phone out of your pocket. As you expected, Xiuying got home safely. You sighed in relief and continued your way where you felt like it. As you pass by the town, you noticed something quite different from where you lived. The people were more chattering than the previous town you lived in.

You stopped as you heard a kid begging for his mother to go somewhere. You didn't know where to, but you were interested.

"Mommy mommy, lets go to the cherry blossom tree again!"

"Sorry sweety, but mommy has too little time to go there again. Maybe next time, alright?"

"But..but uncle could bring me.."

"Your uncle is too busy to take you there-"

"I could bring him!" You interrupted.

Both eyes were now focused on you. One was shocked and one was joyfully jumping around.

"I mean, if you allow me too..and maybe tell me the location of the cherry tree.." You said nervously as you scratched the back of your neck.

The mother was slightly confused when you said that you wanted to know the location of the tree.

"Are you a foreigner?" She asked politely with a smile. Clearly showing kindness to you.

"Ah, um yes. I just arrived here yesterday. And I was taken to see the cherry blossom tree from a far. It's so beautiful.."

The woman chuckled and so did the little kid.

"Wait until you see it from the near view nice lady!" The kid exclaimed as he took your hand and ran off to the direction of the cherry tree.

He was quite fast for a small kid like him. He also looked like he was trained to be this quick. But something about him seemed off from being a kid as you took a good look at him. His eyes were blank like he's never been a happy of being a child. But his smile was still visible. It made him look like he's forcing a smile to everyone. You tilted your head and thought about asking the small boy. You thought about it for so long, that you didn't realize that you have arrived at the cherry blossom tree entrance.

"We're he nice lady! This is the cherry tree that our villages legend has been protecting for years!"

"Sun Wukong the Monkey King?" You questioned while tilting your head slightly once again.

"What? Who's that? Anyway, let me tell you about our legendary hero. His name is 'The Six Eared Macaque'. He helped us protect this tree for years! Some say he did it for a girl he once loved but then she vanished out of no where.."
