Chapter 15 Terrible Nightmare

You woke up by hugging someone's torso that seemed familiar to you already. As you took a look to the person's facial expression, you jumped off his lap and pointed at him.

"P-Pervert! What were you doing just now?!"

The so called 'Pervert' chuckled and stood up from the bench you fell asleep on.

"I was simply giving you a more comfortable pillow than that bench." He said as he pointed towards it with an expressionless face.

You rotated your head to the side with crossed arms and puffy cheeks.

"What makes you think I want your help hm?"

Macaque sighed and looked down to the ground. Knowing the mistake he has done this morning, he felt guilty and couldn't come up with a proper excuse for you. He shook his head to himself and walked towards the exit while waving goodbye at you.

"Nothing. But..come back for dinner. Alright?" He said as he vanished once again out of no where.

You just stared at the direction he went and thought about before finally releasing an exhausted sigh. Just what was all that about? The dream you were having is slowly getting very suspicious.

"A black monkey and a golden monkey..could that be referring to Macaque and Monkey King?" You thought out loud.

In your dream, there were two figures trying to convince the girl to trust them. But their facial expression are blurred and everytime they mention their names get wiped out. Just what is up with that?

You pressed your hands on your forehead and groaned impatiently of trying to figure out what or why this is happening to you. At the end, you've decided to let it slide and went back home just as Macaque told you to. But still had the suspicion of Macaque and Wukong in your dream.

You followed your track you went by earlier but sensing something off about the sidewalk. The people were gone. The building's looked more abandoned. What happened? This was just too much to handle. Were you hallucinating this entire time without noticing it?

You stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and looked back. There stood the cherry blossom tree but something was moving underneath it's shadow. Your body started to shake in fear and wanted to call for help.

"Ma-m-mac-"

Just before you said his name, a hand crawled out of it. Not just one, but multiple of them. This was the moment you knew you had to run. Now.

You cried and sobbed while trying to figure out the way back to Macaque's dojo. But you went to alleyways and some other tight sidewalks that you never went with the small kid from earlier. You remembered the way quite well but for some reason, you kept going the wrong way.

Just as you saw one of the shadows showing up behind you with a devious smile, you started to cry and scream for help. Obviously calling Macaque's name.

Right after you ran towards a sharp way to the right, you bumped into a figure that caught you in time before landing on the floor. You looked up to see the person in relief.

"M-Macaque!" You happily shouted as you hugged him.

The male on the other hand, pushed you down which shocked you. You looked up at him in tears as you realized that he wasn't himself anymore. He was a complete different person.
