Chapter 36 Returning Love

"I'm sorry. She will not be coming with you. Not on my watch, Lady Bone Demon."

That voice. . .he didn't sound like the person I had in mind. Instead, it was a certain red head boy. Along with a black haired girl standing beside him.

"Red. . .?"

Red clicked his tongue as he turned to look at me in the eyes and pull me away from the portal the Demon had summoned. I couldn't tell if he was worried or irritated because of me.

I can mostly see arrogance on his face.

"You got some nerve letting yourself getting taken by that monkey and noodle boy. Father has gotten mad because of you."

You glanced at the red head boy and felt the anger growing in him. He kept is cool for now. He had something to deal with first.

He turned his gaze back to the portal. His flaming hand behind his back burning bright as he glared of what was a cross of it.

Not even giving the Demon Lady time, he shot his burning flame through the portal. Just a second later, a loud yelp was released from the woman. She was breathing heavily at the sudden attack. It felt like, red actually caught her off guard.

'Curse you!' She shouted before making the portal disappear from our sight.

Red sighed in exasperation and turned to look at me once more. He didn't seem pleased at all.

He snatched one of my ear and pulled it.

"Ah! Stop that!-"

"Shut it, dummy! What were you thinking just turning your back on us, huh?!"

"Yeah, why didn't you approach us?" Mei exclaimed as she also was irritated about the problem.

"And why does it matter if we had kidnapped Y/n? The world is going to be destroyed by Lady Bone Demon and we needed Y/n to beat her!"

My face darkened as I slid Red's arm away from my ears. I turned my back onto them and looked up to the sky.

"You have the Samadhi Flame now, don't you? Why would you need me at all?"

"To train her of course!"

I cackled slightly and looked at him.

"Red, I know I may have the ability. What makes you think I can control it just like you? I'm still. . .weak."

But why?

Why am I trying to be distant towards them?

Why am I. . .different?

"Hah, weak? I don't recal your aura being this dangerous before. Just in days, how did you strengthen your ability so quick?"

"I have my ways, Red. I'm not -quite- allowed to tell you how I did it."

Just before I took another step to distance myself from them, I felt a hand stopping me to do so.

I turn my head to whoever it was, only to surprise myseld that it was Mei who was stopping me.

Her pleading, teary eyes was begging for me to stay and train her. However, I had other plans in mind.

I just wanted to spend some time with Macaque. We've been separated so many times and barely had the chance to please ourselves.

But if I don't help them now. . .what will happen to our world?

"You cannot change my mind. I have other plans I need to deal with."

It was now Red's turn to cackle at my absurd words. He rolled his eyes behind my back and held onto his hips in a sassy way.
