A final showdown for Edea Lee. . .

° ° °

The next morning, Mei and I woke up. Tang was sleeping on his desk while we prepared for the day.

I sleepily rolled over to my bag and grabbed a book that I wanted to look at for a while. I read all the details about them. Mostly about Edea's background story.

Mei was felt hungover on the bench. We thought they might return somewhere early in the morning. But it looks like they remained in the moon for a little while.

"Hey Mei, I'm going for a walk. If I'm not back in an hour. . .please search for me."

"You got it!" She exclaimed while giving me a thumbs up. She lazily lied down once I turned my back on her. I couldn't blame her for the hot weather.

I went through the book once more and even found myself the same as them. They all looked just like me. I in the other hand, had a different hairstyle than them.

True, they had that unique typical 'Edea hairstyle', but their personalities and background story was rather different from each other.

Some never found out about it. The others would gain memories, and then. . .there was me. Who knew almost everything about it. In fact, Macaque already wrote things about me and my consciousness about Edea Lee.

I was glad to be keeping this book with me for a while until I meet up with Macaque again. I'm sure he's been searching for this.

Edea was a talented girl. She was able to do any sports she wanted and was intelligent. However, her father passed away right after turning fourteen. And the mother, left them for her own safety.

But if I compare myself to Edea, I could never be as good as her. She had her ability in control, unlike me who was struggling to even keep it burning. At least I wasn't a coward. Besides that part where I ran away from Xiuying. Or should I say. . .Shero?

He claimed to be Edea's brother by blood. But why trouble yourself to follow your sibling only to be reunited again? Wasn't it the best for leaving Edea alone in the first place?

What am I saying? I'm not the one to judge. I'll never get answers if Edea wasn't here to help.

"Edea. . .why can't I get things right? I want to be able to control what I've earned but. . .how am I supposed to do it?"

"Training. Idiot."

I jumped back and looked around panicking. My eyes saw nothing but boulders and sand.

"What the heck. . ."

The girl's voice chuckled in my ears as I felt my right eye slightly burning a bright blue flame.

"AYO?"

"I'm still here. Surprised?"

"Very much, Edea. How are you still in me? Didn't your soul leave me?"

"Ehhh, it did. But I took my chance to escape from the lantern before Lady Bone Demon was able to receive it. She was after both my soul and your body."

"What the heck does she need my body for?"

"Switching our souls."

I let out a dumbfounded 'oh' and sat behind a boulder to keep me a little cool. I turned to the book I was reading and frowned.

"Is something bothering you?"

I hummed in thought and shuffled my legs.

"Well, you probably heard me just now. I'm having trouble with my ability."
