Hey everybody, hope your having a great day! Here's another chapter for you, I hope you enjoy it! Feedback is welcome and often used, so please make sure to comment on stuff if you see mistakes or if you think the plot line is just plain boring! But also respectfully remember, there's a difference between useful critisism and mean critisism!

Have a great day!

1st person Adam P.O.V

"Have you seen the princess?" I stop a maid in the hallway, keeping my voice calm. As far as I know, there's nothing to worry about. She probably just went for a walk and forgot to tell me, and most likely there's no danger.

"Yes, she was in her room," the maid replies, before turning on her way.

I turn, striding purposefully down the hall. I'd already checked her room, but it wouldn't hurt to check again. As I reach the gilded wooden door, I notice a young boy leaning against a column and watching Alaina's room.

"Bored, Prince Punz?" I ask, nodding to him.

"Of course not, sir, but I haven't gotten to meet the girl yet and I was hoping I would be able to," he answers readily.

"Naturally," I respond. "Well, I think you need to give her a few days. She's still not used to living underwater, and I think seeing a lot of new people might stress her out."

Punz pushes himself off of the column, walking over to me. "You're her physical protector, not her emotional protector. I'll talk to her if I want to," he shoulders me aside, and I let him.

The doorknob doesn't make a sound when it twists, and neither does the well-oiled door when it opens. At first, I don't see anyone in the room. But then, a small mound on the bed catches my eye.

Punz sees her, too. He walks into the room, nearly as silent as I am. Alaina is curled up into a tiny ball, squeezing her legs to her chest tightly. Even I have to admit, it's kinda cute. Punz seems to think so, too, because he doesn't disturb her. For once, the prince backs off from something he wants to do.

But a look in his eyes makes a prickle of alertness slide down my neck. I know that look, but not from Punz. He's clearly attracted to her, and that scares me a bit. For as long as I've known him, the prince of the Coral Kingdom has never backed off from anything. He will have his ways no matter what, at the exact moment he wants them.

A bit of a shorter chapter here, but it's got some important content! Next chapter I probably won't announce this, but the P.O.V will switch back to Alaynia's. For future referance, anytime I don't announce a P.O.V it will be Alaynia's.

Everybody have a great day!
