Torture

Hi everybody, how's life?

-- Ivy :)

I wake up to the door opening creakily, and someone kneels next to me. Warm, large hands touch my shoulder and turn me over. "Laina, sweetie?"

I turn away, "Leave me alone, Technoblade."

"No," he replies firmly, and then promptly picks me up and carries me back into his bedroom.

I close my eyes and allow myself to go limp, letting him carry me. I'm so...so...tired. I think Technoblade seems to realize this, because he lays me down on his bed and walks out. I notice that he doesn't forget to lock the door, or turn out the lights.

It doesn't matter anyway, I had no plan ready to get out of here yet.

A few hours later, I wake to the sound of the door closing. Technoblade locks the door and slips his key inside his shirt, walking over to the bed and leaning over me. I keep my eyes closed, refusing to let him think he's making me feel anything.

"Alaynia, I know you're not asleep," Technoblade whispers, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear.

I roll over, much to the annoyance of my captor. Technoblade's hand leaves me, and he disappears into the bathroom. I get up and walk back over to my usual spot on the floor, curling up under the blankets and waiting for Technoblade to go to bed. It doesn't take long, thankfully.

I roll onto my back once I'm sure that Technoblade is asleep, and I'm free to go along with my stupid idea. While I was laying there waiting for night, I had decided that the only way to get out of here would be to steal a key from Technoblade. I haven't seen Atalia since a few days ago, and I have a suspicion that I won't see her for at least a little while.

A soft snore emnates from the bed, telling me that he's sleeping hard. That's good, he hopefully won't notice me. I stand up slowly, silently, and practically tiptoe to the bed. Technoblade is facing away from me, but I can see a silvery thing dangling from a black leather string.

Slowly, I reach over him, trying as hard as I can to not come in contact. Technoblade is a touchy person, he always has been. Ever since he's been a baby, he wakes at the slightest touch. Even brushing against his clothes could wake him, and I have no doubt that he would know what I was doing instantly.

But somehow, my hand manages to close around the necklace. Slowly, I lift it up. His head is on the pillow, so I wait until he moves to turn over. Quickly while he lifts his head up to adjust it, I slide the leather necklace from around his head.

I don't even stand up before hands grab me and pull me down onto the bed. I let out a gasp of surprise, struggling to get away. Technoblade is unrelenting, he flips me onto my back and pins me there, waiting patiently until I stop squirming.

"Done yet?" he asks a few moments later.

I just look at him, waiting.

"You clearly don't appreciate the fact that I'm keeping you alive right now, Alaynia," Technoblade stares down at me with sadness in his eyes.

"I'm a prisoner!" is all I manage.

For a moment while he's taken aback, I lunge upwards. Technoblade grunts, but slams me back down onto the bed pretty quickly. "Stop, Alaynia! I'm just trying to protect you!" he tells me.

This time, I see real, actual pleading in his eyes. I actually see that he does care, that he's not doing this to torture me. I relax, laying my head down on my brother's pillow and closing my eyes. "Technoblade, please," I murmur, my voice cracking a bit. "You have to let me live my life, I can't stay stuck in here, or in the castle, or in the castle grounds. You need to let me be free, I can make my own decisions."

Technoblade seems to deflate at those words, "I need to talk to father before you leave here, Alaynia."

"In the morning, don't disturb him right now," I reply.

Technoblade unpins me, flopping down on the bed beside my small frame. The bed bounces with his weight, and my body leaves the surface for a moment. I sigh, rubbing my face, before I go and walk back to the blankets on the floor.
