For a celebration, I challenge you to go on ANY wattpad story from now until Christmas and tell the author something that you legitimately think is cool about them! Let's bring on the spirit of kindness, everybody!

"Morning Princess," Adam says as he walks into my room.

I look at him, not even remotely tired. "Good morning...Adam?"

He laughs at my confusion as to what to call him, "Adam is fine, kiddo."

"Okay, Adam," I say.

"Are your eyes two different colors?" he asks suddenly, turning his head to see them better.

I nod, "Yeah, my right eye is significantly lighter gray than my left eye."

"Ah, I see. Anyways, what shall we do today?"

I get the sense that Adam doesn't like talking very proper, and he's only doing it because he thinks I'll respect him for it. I don't say anything different at the moment, fearing that I'll only bother him. Once I get to know him more, I'll mention it.

"I...don't know," I answer frankly, having absolutely no idea what people around here do for anything.

"Okay then, how about I show you around, and teach you how to swim?" Adam suggests.

I agree readily, immediately eager to see and understand my new environment. This will be an entirely new experience for me. Normally, humans aren't able to breath underwater. So it's naturally assumed that nobody will be able to. But apparently, my mother could. She was one of the only ones in the entire world that could do such a thing, and move between the water world and the ground world. She passed on her ability to me, and kind of Tommy. Tommy is able to breath underwater, but he prefers to come up for normal oxygen about three or four times a day when we go to the beach.

Adam leads me out of my room, but as soon as we close the door he comes face to face with a tall boy that looks to be about my age. He's dressed in baggy black jeans and a white sweatshirt. A golden chain sparkles from around his neck. He has hair so blonde it's almost white, and piercing blue eyes.

"So I finally get to meet her," he says, sounding less snarky than I thought he would, and more just plain curious.

Adam steps aside with a sigh, "Prince Punz, this is Princess Alaina," he gestures between us in an introducing way as he speaks.

"Hi," I greet the prince with a bit of nervousness, but manage to hide it in my voice.

"Hello," Punz replies. He turns to Adam, "Could you leave us alone for a bit, I think I can handle not getting her killed for a while," his words clearly aren't a question, and I shudder to think of what it may be like to be on the side of his annoyance.

Adam just nods, understanding that Punz is pretty much ordering him to go. My assigned protector disappears down the hallway, but I get the feeling he's not far.

Another shorter chapter today. {Spoiler} I'm actually going to do a pretty big jump in time i nthe next chapter, so this was just a bit more buildup! Everybody have a greeeeeaaaaaat night or morning or afternoon or day!
