Adam. The only thought that runs through my head is telling me to go help Adam. I agree with it. I'll admit, I got a little bit shocked before. But I'm not just going to sit by and watch Adam get beat up because I was too out of it to help.

I reach the crystal castle doors, which are wide open to allow the guards to go to and fro easily. I see several standing on the platform, ready to go to the aid of my protector. I launch myself into the sea above them, swimming towards the fight as quick as I can.

To my surprise, I recognize the man fighting Adam. His name is Tyler, and he's a sworn enemy of our country. Never mind the relations at this moment, but it does help give me motivation. I slam into him with my shoulder, completely knocking him away from Adam.

Knowing Tyler, he would have beat Adam sooner or later. He's a good fighter, but I've seen Techno beat him before. "Laina, it's nice to see you again," he spits at me.

"Can't say the same, Tyler," I reply, my voice just as venomous.

He lunges at me, but I dive to the side. Still, his attack misses me by less than an inch. I kick him as he flies past, but he stops himself midair and whips back around to face me. His hand flies behind his back, and suddenly he's holding a sword.

"Princess!" someone yells.

I glance down, just in time to stretch my arm out and catch a trident. Tyler watches, and I can see his smug amusement beginning to fade out of the corner of my eye. I look at him, feeling the power pulse through my hands from the weapon.

A glint of confidence shines brightly in my eyes as I look at Tyler, my head slightly sideways. He sees this, and I notice that his grip tightens on his sword. He flies forward, sword raised and ready to slice me down the middle.

I don't raise my trident, just waiting for the right moment. I prepare myself for the split-second movement that has to be timed perfectly. Everything happens in slow motion. I see Tyler, bearing down on me with a furious intensity that somehow doesn't bother me in the slightest. He's really racing towards me, which would normally scare me but right now it just empowers me more.

His sword is coming towards my head, just inches away when I finally move.

Clang.

I look up, my arms shaking slightly from the effort of holding back a man twice my size and three times as strong as me. My trident hovers about an inch above my head, the prongs facing up. A gleaming silver blade is trapped in between one of the prongs, also about an inch from my head.

I raise an eyebrow at the man, clearly a challenge. "Not so easy, am I... Mr. McAndall?" I ask, my voice venemous in an interesting, one that sends shivers down my enemy's back.

I smile at him, and pull my trident away. Without another word, we leap into battle.

Happy Thanksgiving again, everybody! Have a wonderful day, and remember to drink water and sleep!
