Beep. Beep.

Ugh, you grumbled as you tried to push snooze on the alarm on your datapad. You did not want this day to begin even though today was the day you had looked forward to for years. Every officer has the dream of being lucky enough to be assigned at the main base of the First Order. Finally, it was your time. However, the excitement was non-existent now that you were assigned to work with General Hux.

After the second time of pushing snooze, you just laid there staring at the wall.

Beep. Beep.

"Ugh, I thought I turned you off." you groaned and reached for your datapad.

However, this time it wasn't your alarm going off. A message displayed across your datapad.

Messenger: General A. Hux

Time Sent: 0557

Message: Sent location of 'General A. Hux's office'

Just as you were about to set it down another message appeared on the screen.

Messenger: General A. Hux

Time Sent: 0557

Message: I expect you to be on time. -GH

Rolling your eyes, you decided to actually make an effort to get ready. Thankfully, the crew arrived last night to bring you all that you needed.

After five different outfit changes you decided to go with the traditional black suit pants and officer blouse. The last thing you wanted was for the General to get mad at you for not being "put" together. According to Delilah, if he sees anyone out of uniform during scheduled times it was an automatic write up. So, you kept it simple and classic for today.

Before you knew it, you were following the quadrants he had sent to your datapad. Much to your surprise, you weren't more than a 10 minute walk from his office. It made you wonder if you had been purposely placed there for that reason. As your quarters seemed to be located in the section usually reserved for the higher ups.

When you arrived to the doors of his office, you found they were guarded by two troopers. One was dressed wearing the stereotypical trooper uniform of the classic white. The other wore a platinum metal that reflected anything within a 30 foot distance.

"State your business and show identification card." a female voice demanded from beneath the platinum uniform.

Frantically you searched your uniform trying to find your card. Luckily, you found it at the bottom of your bag. You handed it over to the white trooper. They took it and swiped it against the door. It lit up a bright red.

"Sorry, the card is invalid." he said to the female trooper.

"It shouldn't be in-"

You were cut off by the other trooper, "What did you say your business was again?"

"Uhmm, I haven't yet. But I was told to meet at the General's office this morning." you stated a little taken back by the assertiveness of the trooper.

"We have no record of this happening." she said before turning to the other trooper. "Take her away."

The white trooper stepped forward towards you.

"No wait, stop!" you said while putting your hands in front of you to stop the trooper from grabbing you. "I can prove that I am supposed to be here. If you just give me a second then I can pull it up on my datapad."

Your hands shook as you fumbled through your datapad trying to open the messages he had sent you earlier. But of course, your datapad was freezing.
