**This chapter is in Jasmine's POV from the last chapter, taken place starting from when Lauren took Jasmine out of the kitchen**

Previously:
Ryder's POV
She rolled her eyes playfully then began to walk off with Lauren.

"Oh and Jasmine?" I said causing her to look back at me.

"You really think I have a nice body?" I smirked.

"Shut up." She smiled with a blush on her face before walking off to catch up with Lauren.

Jasmine's POV
"So you told him he had a nice body?" Lauren teased me with a smile on her face as we walked up the stairs.

"Don't tease me, Laur. It kind of just slipped."

She laughed. "It's ok I know he thinks you have a nice body too." She winked.

My jaw dropped a little and I felt myself getting warmer. "How do you know that?"

Lauren shrugged. "The way he looks at you. Especially in that dress from his birthday. I told you you looked hot that night. But we have a dress we think you'll look even better in." She smiled at me stopping at a room.

"We? Dress? What?"

"Close your eyes."

"Laur-"

"Do it."

"But-"

"Damnit Jasmine close your eyes!"

I quickly closed my eyes realizing Lauren isn't gonna give in. I felt her grab my hand leading me through the door and into the room.

"Surprise!" All the girls said at once causing me to open my eyes. My jaw dropped. I stood directly across from a beautiful gown laid out on a bed.

"Oh my god it's beautiful. Who's is it?"

"Yours, silly!" Alli laughed.

I looked at them in disbelief.
"Me? What on earth would I need this dress for?"

Vanessa smiled. "The Winter Ball."

I had completely forgotten that existed. Either way I never thought about actually going.

"Guys I love it, I really do. But I can't accept it. It looks so expensive I-"

Lauren interrupted me once again. "Take the dress, Jasmine. It wasn't as expensive as you think and we all chipped in to buy it."

"I don't have to go."

"Oh you're going alright. Besides you're not gonna say no when Ryder ask you." Morgan spoke.

"How do you know he's gonna ask me?"

She smiled. "Trust me. I know."

"Well what about you guys? Doesn't one of you still need a dress?"

"The dance is on Saturday, we got our dresses forever ago. We just thought we'd help you out because it's so close. You're wearing this dress. It's gonna look beautiful on you." Vanessa said.

I smiled. "Thank you guys so much. It's beautiful. I love it." I hugged them each. I'm so grateful to have made such wonderful friends in such a short amount of time.

"Now get your ass in this dress so we can see it on you!" Lauren said with a smile on her face.

I grabbed the dress heading to the bathroom to put it on. It took me a little but I finally got it zippered and looked at myself in the mirror. Oh my goodness. I don't think I've ever been in something this expensive. I have to admit, I really do like it on myself. It's not something I would have purchased on my own. I like simple things that don't draw too much attention to myself, but this is beautiful.
