Ryder's POV
I woke up to the sound of people downstairs. No matter how quiet they are it's likely I would hear them because of how strong my hearing is. I smiled when I felt that my body is warmer than usual due to my mate's touch. Jasmine's in the same position we were when we fell asleep; head on my chest, arm wrapped around me.
The noises downstairs got a little louder and Jasmine started to stir. I watched her as she yawned and rubbed her eyes making a cute noise. She held on to me tighter and smiled to herself. After a little she opened her eyes and looked up at me.
"Good morning." I said with a smile. It really is a good morning waking up next to my mate.
"Morning." She whispered still not completely alert.
"Sorry if the people downstairs woke you up. Everyone's probably getting started on breakfast." Mornings when everyone's here and people don't have to go to school, we eat a huge breakfast. With so many male werewolves in the house, a big breakfast is necessary.
I started to rub up and down Jasmine's back noticing how my touch instantly seemed to relax her and make her content.
She smiled up at me and told me it was fine before she stopped for a moment then began to try to fix her hair.
"Jas, you look just as pretty as you always do." I assured her. She whispered a quiet thank you, the whisper she does whenever I say something that causes her to blush, right before her phone started ringing. She mouthed "sorry" to me and I nodded letting her know it's ok. I heard her say hi to Lauren before I stopped listening, focusing on Jasmine.
I really did mean it when I said she looked pretty. She always does. But seeing her this morning is different. In a natural environment. Her hair a little messy in a cute way. The way the natural sunlight coming from the open blinds touches her skin. How her soft skin feels against mine, keeping us both warm. Her body under the same covers my body is under. I want this. I need this. This is how I want to wake up every morning from this day on.
Jas hung up the phone causing me to snap back into reality as I was drifting off.
"What'd Lauren say?" I asked.
"She told me she left shampoo and stuff in the bathroom I could use if I wanted to shower, because it snowed even more last night so there's no way we'll be leaving soon," good another day with her, "but I don't have a clean shirt." She pouted.
"You can borrow one of mine." I said.
She bit her lip unsure and I couldn't help by stare at it. It's like she knows what she does to me, but I know she doesn't. "Are you sure? You don't have to."
I smiled at her letting her know it really is fine. "It's fine, Jas. I'll find something."
I got out of bed and began looking through drawers for a shirt that would be small enough. I'm much taller than Jasmine, but not to the point where it's a struggle. Just the right amount on my opinion.
"I like your room." Jasmine said making me smile.
"That's good."
She laughed. "Why's that?"
"Well it's good you like it because hopefully we'll be spending more time in here." I looked over my shoulder winking at her causing her to blush, as usual.
"Your blush is adorable every time I see it by the way."
"Stop!" She used one of my pillows to hide her face, which I'm guessing is deepening in color.
"Come on, Jas. Let me see your face." I urged her as I walked closer.
"Please?" I asked after she shook her head. She sighed then put the pillow down.
