This chapter is a little shorter than the rest, I'm sorry! I just like separate events to have their own chapter’s haha I don't know why. But the next chapter is all about explaining the mating process of human mates, the difference between wolf mates and human mates, and all that important and interesting stuff so please keep reading!

Ryder's POV

The hallway began to get crowded quickly as it was finally time for lunch. I went around tracking my mate's scent, trying to find her so I could walk her to lunch and introduce her to the rest of the senior pack members. Her wonderful scent easily stood out among the rest so it wasn't too hard to find her. I found her standing at her locker, looking around nervously, biting her lower lip, a nervous habit I had realized she had. When her eyes met mine I heard her heart beat increase and she smiled lightly.

"Hey so you ready for lunch?" I asked with a smile, getting a little closer so our bodies were nearly touching. It took all my will power not to wrap my arms around her waist and lean down and kiss her lips, but it was too soon.

"Um yeah but," she looked down at the ground and started to play with her finders. I immediately saddened knowing something was wrong.

I spoke in a soft voice, "Hey what's wrong? You can tell me."

"What if," her eyes left the floor and met with mine, "what if your friends don't like me? I mean I feel bad just invading your "friend group" you've had for so long. I'm new and they probably don't-"

"Hey listen to me. It's fine. You're fine. They get excited to meet new people, and they'll love meeting you. They'll like you, trust me."

The senior packs members and I had been mind linking all day about Jasmine already. I wasn't lying when I told her they get excited to meet new people, but technically they just were excited to meet her.

She smiled lightly and nodded, "Ok yeah."

I smiled and before I could stop myself I put my hand on her lower back to lead her through the crowd. I was about to move my hand, scared I had invaded her space too quickly, but she leaned into my touch naturally and I held back a smile.

The cafeteria was nearly filled by the time we got there, and I laughed immediately when I saw my friends messing around in the table in the middle of the cafeteria. Whenever we're all together it's impossible for us to be quiet and not do anything crazy.

"You'll love them. Don't be nervous." I whispered into her ear and I saw her try to hide a small shiver that went down her spine.

"Hey guys," All heads turned to me, then immediately Jasmine, and she smiled but sank into my touch, "This is Jasmine."

Lauren was the first to speak, "Guys I know she's gorgeous but stop staring. You're scaring the poor girl."

Jasmine laughed a little and sat down next to me. Being that she was feeling vulnerable, she scooted a little closer unconsciously, and it didn't go unnoticed by me or the rest of the pack as they smiled.

I went around the table introducing everyone who is sitting in their usual spots next to their mates, "You've met Lauren and Brad already. And this is Alli, Tyler, Vanessa, Austin, Morgan, and Connor."

I watched as Jasmine waved at each person with her beautiful signature smile.

"Hey wait you're in my Spanish class!" Morgan beamed, "how the hell are you so good?"

"Oh my family's from Cuba so I grew up speaking it. I'm not completely fluent but I guess I can carry a conversation."

Are you kidding me? She can speak Spanish? What is there not to like about this girl.

Morgan laughed, "Oh no honey, you can do more than carry a conversation. All my years of taking Spanish, and I had no idea what you were saying. Either you're really good or I'm just really bad...oh my gosh...I suck at Spanish don't I?"

Connor shrugged, "Well...,"

The whole table laughed as Morgan scolded Connor as he tried to convince her he was kidding.

"So how do you like it here so far?" Vanessa asked Jasmine.

The whole lunch was full of everyone, including myself, getting to know Jasmine better. I could tell everyone really liked her and it was amazing.

I leaned over to tell Jasmine something the rest of the table wouldn't hear, so I had to speak very quietly considering the amazing hearing capabilities werewolves had. She turned to me in confusion and mouthed "what?" because she couldn't hear what I said. I wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer before I whispered it once again in her ear, "They like you"

She looked into my eyes leaning closer in so our foreheads were almost touching, "And how do you know that?" she asked smirking.

Well we may or not have been mind linking the whole lunch about her but I kept the answer simple.

"I can just tell. I mean how could they not like you?"

I watched her with a smile as her cheeks began to turn a slight shade of pink before she looked down. When she looked up again our faces were even closer than before. If I leaned in the smallest bit our lips would be touching. I looked into her eyes then down at her lips, noticing she did the same. I could hear her heartbeat increase, and I'm glad she couldn't hear mine because it might have been beating faster. My wolf was beginning to become frantic due to the closeness between us and our mate, urging me to kiss her...but I coulndn't. It was way too soon and I didn't want to ruin anything. She suddenly broke eye contact and cleared her throat as she turned back to face the group. It was pretty obvious they were watching, making Jasmine blush even more, as they quickly turned their heads and started to talk about random things. It was so hard not to control myself around her. It was different having to get used to waiting to kiss your mate, or to not have someone who is made for you know they are.

There were so many great things about her and I couldn't wait to tell my parents and the rest of the pack that their Alpha finally had a Luna.
