Kongpob's sure they're mates and that's something that he's confident they mutually know even if they haven't talked about their relationship once the war ended. He's sure they're still mates even when Arthit hadn't met up with him again when they separated that night the battle, now dubbed as the Battle of Prās̄āth, ended.

Kongpob respects that, he's sure Arthit's busy talking to his citizens now that the vampire king is dead. But there's also nothing wrong if he went to the mall with May since the girl had asked him to help her pick gifts for him and his friends. May and he go a long way back, they're childhood friends, and yes, at some point, they considered being mates, but then Arthit happened. And now, it's just platonic for them, more of a familial than romantic.

But Kongpob realizes it can be seen differently, especially by a possessive vampire, when he sees Arthit strutting up to them. He, of course, is wearing a wide brim boater hat (inside the mall!) with a casual long-sleeve button-up shirt, revealing a bit of his chest, paired with tight ripped jeans, hugging his legs perfectly. Because, of course, he has to wear something like this.

The humans and some creatures do double-take to appreciate his black aesthetic. Some people's looks linger a little Kongpob feels something gnawing in his chest. Arthit only throws them a half-smirk though.

"Is that-"

"Yes, there's no other vampire who loves wearing hats."

"Why is he wearing a hat?"

"I-"

"Kong!" Arthit wraps his hand around Kongpob's shoulder. "You didn't tell me you'd be here?" Despite Arthit wearing his tinted shades, Kongpob can feel the thunder in Arthit's eyes.

"Let's talk in the parking lot," Kongpob says feeling humans' eyes on them.

As soon as they arrived in the empty parking lot, Arthit pulls May to the side. He removes his shades, talks to her a little, and Kongpob sees May nodding to him, getting in her car before driving away. There's nothing wrong with that except her actions are more like she's on autopilot. She doesn't look... normal.

Kongpob frowns but he let Arthit pull him inside his car. "What did- You said you can't hypnotize?"

Arthit frowns. "I can. Obviously, I can! I just did it to that omega you're dating! Why are you dating her? I thought I was your mate, what? Is this the rule of werewolves I'm not aware of? I thought you're supposed to be loyal."

"I'm not dating her, she's only a friend," Kongpob cups Arthit's cheeks. "She asked me if I could help her choose gifts, so I did. Nothing more."

Arthit sighs. "She has feelings for you. I can feel it."

"I don't and I won't. Tell me, why can't you hypnotize me?"

"You're so stupid. Go figure it out yourself, stupid mutt."

"Bat, go on hypnotize me," Arthit shakes his head so Kongpob steals his shades and wraps Arthit's cheeks with his thumb and index finger to face him. "Why can't-" Kongpob stops when he sees the thin gold ring in Arthit's eyes. Is that-

"You imprinted on me," Arthit confirms. "It was right after the first time we met that I've noticed that something's wrong with my eyes and here it is."

Kongpob realizes he hasn't seen or noticed Arthit's eyes after the first they met. Because either Arthit's wearing his shades or Kongpob's focused on something else. This makes him feel giddy, knowing that Arthit truly is his soulmate, even if they can't be bonded the natural way as werewolves do, this is enough for Kongpob.

"So, you liked me since the first time you met me? Is that why you're always making out with me?"

"No, who says I liked you then?" Arthit rolls his eyes. Kongpob smiles. "For your information, I always made out with you because I told you my father's men are following me, I wanted to throw them off with your smell." So, scent mark also affects Arthit.
