"Whatever happened to that wanting to divorce me? Why did you tell her that?" Arthit looks at his husband. Since they left his office after that confrontation with Kongpob's model fiance, Kongpob has been quiet and deep in thoughts.
"I realized our situation is a blessing in disguise, it can be both beneficial to us. You need me to settle your deal with your parents. I need you to stop this wedding. If you're going to use me, I should have used on you as well."
"Fine. I'm nothing if not helpful," Arthit leans his head on his knuckles. "Do you think it'll work on your end? She seems pretty unconvinced."
Arthit thinks back to her reaction earlier when Kongpob said, "He's Arthit Rojnapat-Suthilak, my husband."
"What?!" It's Arthit who gasped and looked at Kongpob in shock. Arthit just didn't think they would reveal their status to this gorgeous model since
Chandra, on the other hand, as soon as she recovered from her shock of seeing her fiance with someone else, began laughing. It didn't sound forced nor disgusted. She sounded rather entertained.
"Really? Kong? You had to go this low? Hiring someone to pretend to be your husband just to skip our wedding? Do you think I'm dumb enough to believe this?"
Kongpob pulled Arthit closer. "You don't have to believe it, but it's the truth," Kongpob raised their hands. "Look, our wedding rings, you've seen mine since last month. You don't think I planned all this, right?"
Chandra smirked. "I know how cunning you are, Kong. You could've been planning this since last month, and you just picked up some random guy on the street, asked him to wear the other pair made a final reveal today," Chandra tilted her head wearing a satisfied smile as if she figured out Kongpob's evil plan all by herself.
Arthit, offended at her words, finally broke his silence. "Hey! That's- what is that supposed to mean? Random guy on the street?"
"Honey, you're not exactly remarkable. I don't even know you."
"That's because-"
"You look average at most. There's nothing unique about you. You look so plain. Do you still want me to continue from that?"
"Why you-"
"Leave. I won't have you badmouthing my husband," Kongpob, the great guy that he is, finally said something to defend Arthit's honor.
Chandra flicked her long smooth hair and crossed her arms against her chest. "I still don't believe your act."
"Want me to kiss-"
Chandra chuckled. "I just saw you. No matter what you two do in front of me, I won't believe it. Now, I just went here to tell you about choosing our caterer because you're not replying to my messages. I already sent you the menu of my favorite restaurants, so pick one," Chandra leaned in to kiss Kongpob, but Arthit quickly pulled him away from her.
Chandra smirked at Arthit's frown and laughed. "Fine. I see you trained him well, Kong. Your husband looks jealous. I'll leave because I have so many things to organize for our wedding,"
Before she strutted away, the office looking like her personal catwalk, she turned back to face them. Arthit half expected her to suddenly strike a pose Arthit saw on magazines and was disappointed that she didn't.
"By the way, how long have you been practicing this husband act? A month? Because I must tell you two, it almost looks real, you two look in love, but I won't fall for it. I know Kong. You two look good together but maybe in another life? I won't cancel the wedding."
