Summary: When they were 18, being the best of friends, Arthit and Kongpob made a pact. By the time both of them are 30, on the condition that they are still single but unhappily so and do not have feelings for anyone, they'll be together just so they could be alone together— for better or for worse.

12 years after, a week before Kongpob turned 30, here they are, Kongpob's in a happy relationship, and Arthit's wondering what country should he move into because there's no way he'll be pining for the rest of his life. But what is he to do? Cry.

Sue Arthit.

For several reasons.

Sue him for once ignoring to help an old lady because his social anxiety kicked in. Sue him for once teasing a kid into crying. Sue him for once sleeping in his class but regretting after seeing the brokenhearted face of his lovely teacher.

But mainly, sue him for still hoping to live in a world where he and his best friend could be more than that.

In Arthit's defense, it's not his fault. It's Kongpob's. Yep. Entirely that guy's fault.

It was he who suggested making that goddamn pact. Arthit merely agreed because, well, at that moment, it was a silly thing. He did that to shut Kongpob up.

He was, after all, at that time, happy and in love. With Namtarn. So how is he to know that that fairytale of a relationship would only last for 5 years before they would realize they may not be for each other?

How is Arthit to know that his life would turn sideways from there? And that maybe Kongpob's kind of cute with the right kind of angle when he laughed like that?

How is Arthit to know that he could be bisexual? And maybe in love with his best friend?

How does Arthit know that he would be pining for said best friend for three years straight now but said best friend is happy with someone else?

So yes, it's all Kongpob's fault, so sue him too so he and Arthit could be together in jail? Love jail? Is that even a thing? Maybe?

But the subsequent realizations, Arthit's going to accept those are all his faults.

Arthit's the fool who's still holding on to that childish pact, that doesn't even exist in writing, knowing Kongpob already forgot it.

Arthit's boo boo the fool who kept on sabotaging his relationships to stay unhappily single (first requisite of the pact) for Kongpob. Only he's denying this part because he's just that picky but a major part of his brain, named I love you Kongpob will you please marry me?, screams NO!

And lastly, Arthit's the stupid idiotic moronic dumb guy who, with his dumb luck, just really had to fall with his best friend. Because yeah, that's so convenient.

While it's typical and very ideal, Arthit's sure falling in love with a best friend just kind of transgressed the holy doctrine of best friends, if there ever is one.

Especially to Kongpob?! Sure, Kongpob's not exactly straight but he's not exactly to fall for Arthit either just because they're both gay. All his feelings and intentions are platonic, much to Arthit's disappointment.

So here he is, sighing and crying and dying inside as he looks at the happy pair in front of him.

One week. His I love you Kongpob will you please marry me part of brain cruelly whispers.

One week and Kongpob's turning 30. This means if Kongpob happens to be happy and in love by that time, Arthit, maybe will finally realize Kongpob's not just the one. Maybe.
