Kiet remembers someone saying, 'Lying gets you nowhere in life, he doesn't remember who in particular. It's probably his papa or his dad or Aroon. Whoever that is, it doesn't matter anymore.

What matters more is he should've listened to that.

Because of the lie, he told his Dad about Arthit liking him. Now he's sure he and his siblings have no chance of existing anymore.

Not only did it fail magnificently (as expected), but it also backfired magnificently.

And he's there to see how everything unfolded—front row.

"What do you mean I like you? What the hell are you talking about now, Suthilak?" Arthit looks positively mad, his eyes burning, rage ever-present.

Kiet gulps and hides more. He hates it when his Papa gets mad because Arthit rarely gets mad, like really mad. And he hates to see the sadness in his eyes along with the rage.

"The kid told me! He said you can't express your feelings for me, so you just mask it with anger."

"I don't mask my feelings with anger because I don't have feelings for you. And I'm angry at you for real."

"But-"

"Do you think I can have feelings for someone like you?!" Arthit rolls his eyes and smirks. "I'm sorry. I don't date assholes like you."

Kongpob then suddenly looks smug. His whole demeanor shifts from sullen and sad to arrogant and confident. But when Kiet looks closely, he can see insecurity wrapping his body. "Why? Do you think I'd want to date someone like you?! Looked at yourself lately?"

"How should I know? You suddenly accused me of secretly liking you. It seems to me you're so desperate if you assumed something like that without any basis."

"I told you, if it weren't for that kid telling me you told him that, I wouldn't do this. I just talked to you to confirm it and somehow reject you."

"Who's that kid?"

"Someone named Kiet."

Arthit looks shocked and he quickly looks back behind Kongpob. "Kiet? Is he here with you? Where is he? What did he say about me? Did he mention me?" Arthit blushes and he looks shy all of a sudden. "Did he say something why he ran away from me at that time? Are you two friends?"

"Fuck," Kongpob mutters. He shakes his head and steps back. "This is hopeless."

"Do you have his number?"

"Fuck yourself."

"Go fuck yourself!"

Yep. No chance of happening. And this is how his parents fight. Kiet has never seen his parents fight, and he doesn't want to see it again. They look furious at each other.

Kiet runs to catch up with his Dad. Kongpob shouldn't give up just yet. From their interactions earlier, Kiet's sure now Arthit is already sporting feelings for Kongpob, although it's not as strong as Kongpob's. But it's there.

Kiet can see it from his eyes. Arthit looks at Kiet like a silly crush but it's different with Kongpob he just probably doesn't know how to call it. And he's keen on denying it.

"Dad! I mean... Kongpob... Wait for me, let me explain first."

Kongpob looks at him, livid. He's gritting his teeth hard and his fisted hands are trembling from too much anger.

"What? Why are you here again? You probably saw that, right? Want to lie again? Why did you have to lie to me like that?! Do you think that's funny?"
