Kongpob groans when the sunlight hits his closed eyes. Sighing, he rolls on the bed towards his husband to be lulled in his warmth again and tries going back to sleep but the sweet honey smell (like being in the middle of a fresh meadow during spring with pasque flowers around him) of his husband is waking all up his senses, he slowly opens his eyes and blinks the remaining sleepiness he's feeling.
Kongpob smiles when he sees the face of his husband for 2 and a half years first thing in the morning. Kongpob doesn't believe in reincarnation but having someone as great as Arthit as his husband, he's sure he saved a country in his past life. Kongpob must be the luckiest man alive to start his day seeing Arthit's face. Kongpob stretches the kinks out of his body and leans in to give his husband a kiss on the forehead.
"Good morning handsome. I love you," Kongpob whispers and places a soft kiss on his cheek as well.
"Morning." Comes the immediate sleepy response from Arthit and buries his face on Kongpob's neck trying to sleep again but hearing the loud little steps coming from outside of the room, they know they won't get it anymore.
Almost immediately, high-pitched squeals of "Dad!" and "Papa!" echo inside the house.
Just as Arthit and Kongpob sit on the bed, the door opens and reveals their sons.
"Papa!" They all shout and throw themselves in Arthit's open arms.
"Oh, my cute babies." Arthit coos and gives each of them kisses on their foreheads. The three kids giggle and kiss Arthit as well. Arthit chuckles and rubs his nose together with their's.
Kongpob smiles at the scene in front of him. He feels his heart melting at the adorableness of his husband with their children.
The triplets always hug their Papa first in the morning but Kongpob doesn't mind and he's not jealous at all. They have been inside Arthit for 9 months, of course, they are closer to him. Arthit took care of them. Arthit cried with them almost every night when it got too tough for him. Arthit endured all the pain for them. Even when Arthit had to stay on the bed, when it happened to be unbearable for him to move, two weeks before the triplets were born, Arthit remained positive. Arthit's hope of seeing his kids healthy and alive never wavered.
Arthit's the one who fought for their lives. Kongpob remembers that time when the doctor told them Arthit is bearing not only a child but there are three babies inside of him. The doctor then immediately told them that they should pick who to choose as early as then since Arthit's detrimental state is fatal. And with him being a guy worsen the situation since his body is not that equipped like a woman's. So the doctor told them to make a decision, whether it's Arthit who's going to live or the babies. Kongpob decided right there and then that it's going to be his husband but Arthit had a different plan. That day, just as they had arrived at the house from the doctor's appointment, Arthit immediately broke down on the bed and cried his eyes out.
Kongpob hugged him from the side and rubbed his shoulder to comfort him. "Hey P', it's okay. We can still have other babies-"
Arthit adamantly shook his head. "No Kong, we're not going to let them go, they are our babies. They have the right to be born and see the world," Arthit held Kongpob's hands tight in his and with clear conviction in his eyes, he said. "Choose them over me."
Kongpob frowned. "But P'-"
"Promise me, Kong. You're going to choose them."
"Okay P'." Arthit smiled and pecked his lips.
