Chapter 38 Part 1 (Home)

(A few months later.)

Casey and Dawson had Brett,Antonio and Kelly over for dinner. "Hey Dawson you know how I've been teaching down at the fire academy again?" Kelly asked. Dawson nodded. "Okay so it's the weirdest thing. There's a girl at the academy who looks exactly like you. I mean her hair is longer...but other than that. She looks exactly like you. The first time I saw her I thought it was you. So then when I found out it wasn't you I figured you two were related so I looked up her name. Her name is Trini Martinez. Any relation to you?" Kelly asked curious. "Trini Martinez?" Dawson asked eyebrow raised. "Yeah." Kelly said. "No...I don't think so..." She looked over at Antonio. "No I don't think we have any relatives named Trini." Antonio told her. "She really looks exactly like me?" Dawson asked. "Wait! I've heard that name! She was at the police academy but she failed out. I heard she looked a lot like you. I never saw her though." Antonio said. "She seriously looks exactly like me? Do you have a picture?" She asked. "No I don't but trust me she does." Kelly said.

Chapter 38 Part 2 (Next Shift)
A/N It's a few weeks later

"Hey Chief!" Dawson called. Boden turned around. "Yes?" He said. "The new candidate is coming today right?" She asked him. "That's correct." He said to her. She nodded her head and walked over to the table in the common area when she saw Kelly looking at Casey and trying to hold in a laugh. "What's so funny?" She asked him. Kelly chuckled. "Oh you'll see" he told her. Dawson raised her eyebrow and walked over to where Brett was sitting and sat down. "Do you know why they're laughing?" She asked pointing her thumb over at Kelly and Casey. Brett suppressed a smile. "Nope" She said. Dawson narrowed her eyes. "Yes you do! Sylvie Brett what are you hiding from me?!" She exclaimed. "Exactly what Kelly said. You'll see. You will most definitely see." Brett said giggling. "Come on! Can someone just tell me what's so funny?" She said loudly throwing her hands in the air in exasperation. Brett,Kelly and Casey just sat there laughing while Dawson glared at them annoyed. "New candidate's here." Otis said in a singsong tone under his breath. Dawson looked up and her mouth dropped open as she took in what she saw. Standing there was a girl who was the spitting image of herself. She sat there staring as she took in the new candidate's long black hair, tan skin and brown eyes. The new candidate stared back at her mouth agape. "H-hi." The new candidate said, obviously still in shock as she stared at an older version of herself. Gabby shook off her shock and stood up and shook her hand. "Gabriela Dawson." She said. "Trini Martinez" The Candidate said. A look of realization washed over Dawson's face. She looked over at Kelly. He nodded his head. Trini noticed the exchange and gave them a weird look. "Oh Severide told me there was a lookalike of me at the fire academy. I'm guessing that was you." Dawson said to her. "I-I guess it was." Trini said.
