Chapter 42 Part 1 (Next Shift)

Otis walked into the common area from the truck bay. "Hey Dawson who's Trini talking to?" Otis asked. Dawson shrugged. "I don't know." She told him. "She's getting very flirty with him." Otis said smiling. "Okay then. Good for her." Dawson said nodding her head awkwardly lips pressed together. "She looks very flirty." Otis said raising his eyebrows. Brett got up and peeked out into the truck bay. "She is. And he's cute." Brett said raising her eyebrows up and down. "Okay then. Thanks for the update on my little sister's love life." Dawson said nodding lips pressed together. Cruz walked in then. "Who's Martinez flirting with out there?" Cruz said thumb pointed towards the truck bay. "Seriously people why the obsession with my sister's love life?" Dawson said throwing her hands in the air. "If you looked at him you'd see." Brett said raising her eyebrows up and down flirtatiously. Dawson gave Brett a scolding look. "Come on! Just go look. You know you want toooo." Brett said in a singsong voice putting her hands on Dawson shoulders and shaking them slightly. "Okay fine! I'll go gawk at the guy my little sister is flirting with! Happy?" She said looking around at everyone. Brett did a little dance and Dawson chuckled. She walked into the truck bay and she stopped short. She walked more into the shadow of the truck before taking a closer look. Her eyes widened and her breath quickened as she stared at who Trini was talking to. She took out her phone and called Casey not wanting Trini out of her sight. "Casey you need to get out here now....Robert's back."

Chapter 42 Part 2 (Next Shift)

Casey threw his phone on the couch and ran out to the truck bay. Everyone stared after him in shock. Casey ran up to Dawson. He grabbed on the shoulders and pushed her back towards the entrance of the firehouse. "Okay go back inside now! I'll get him. You go make yourself safe." He said half looking at her half looking at Trini. "But she-I can't he-he's violent Casey! I can't just walk away!" Dawson whispered her voice hostile. Casey looked from Trini to Dawson. "Okay you don't have to go back in but STAY.HERE." He said grabbing her shoulders tightly and pushing her back further int the shadow of the truck. Dawson nodded her head firmly. "Okay but get him please. He can't get my sister." Dawson said to him. "Martinez! Get away from him! Run!" Casey yelled running towards to him. Trini got a confused look on her face and then started to turn around to run. Before she could get away Robert grabbed her. Casey's face tightened in anger and walked up and grabbed Robert. "GET.OFF." Casey said.
